I think it is important to note while this is a 'catholic' school, most of the student body that are raising the funds are LDS youth.

Dear Students at Juan Diego,

Congratulations and thank you for your sacrifices and your generosity! Mr. Colosimo is correct--the best way to show your gratitude is to be generous to others! The world needs fewer selfish people! God bless you!

It is important to note that while this is a 'catholic' school the vast majority of students are LDS kids. It is little wonder why the school is so charitable. Just wanted to make that clarification that the catholics kids are a small minority who are actually doing this good deed.

Matty,
What does the fact that the majority of the students are LDS have to do with this story? The most important fact, in my opinion, is that they have recognized that they are blessed and are looking to bless others lives. I applaud their efforts and wish them the best (except in football, where I hope they perform the the best of their abilities but that Hurricane is better!).

Not sure where you get this your info but 75% of the students are Catholic. However this story has nothing to do with Catholic or Mormon.

Half of my family is Catholic, half is Mormon. What does it matter? Just help other people who are in need. That's the only true religion!

Is it really that hard to let another religion get recognition for giving back in Utah? As we all know Mormon people are very generous. There is no need to point out who is doing what. The importance of generousity is not the credit you get for it but the good that comes from the deed. I am sure it makes no difference to the people in Kenya what church that the people who are making this possible belong to, why is it so important to you people?

Has anyone ever heard the word humble?
