No stopping us now..It is up to every coach, player and traveling person to help ensure no let down in Toronto.

Yes I was nervous, watching the wasted chances go bye, not crisp passing in the box. Box to Box we owned this game. When the game started I could not believe Williams and Findlay on the bench. Both need to start the rest of the games. Kreis nearly got burned if it would have ended 0-0. However, what a great goal linked between the 2 impact subs. Espindola and Morales worked the butts off Espindola what a beautiful goal.

Just as i predicted 2 nil. Worth the wait to watch those 2 goals and a nice, loud crowd on a cold night.

Andy is the heart and sole of this team. A great guy and a terrific soccer player. Way to go Andy. Our prayers are with you and Marcia!

It was wonderful watching Andy put away the game winner.

At-a-boy Bomma.

Sweet finish.

That was a fantastic game. I agree that Findley and Andy were great last night but in my opinon they are SUPER subs. Oh another great part of last night is Campos didn't start! Hooray! Now San Jose only gets 1 draft pick. That said he needs to start Saturday. Especially since he will have very fresh legs. I would love to see him and El Kalifi and Findley as the starting Forwards. We are more or less sitting ok for the playoffs because we have hammered the teams closest to us at the RioT.
Does anyone know how the tiebreakers are decided? Is it H2H first then Goal Dif? Either way we would beat New England, Chicago, Dallas, KS, and maybe Toronto

What a night! Great goals! Liked Findley coming off the bench, although I think he should come in earlier, like around the 60th min. Fantastic hustle and heart from the entire team. Wingert was the only one that struggled some.

I stated in posts last week we are covered head to head and if not goal differential.

Tiebreaker procedures:

1) head to head
2) goal differential
3) total goals scored for the season

Andy and Findley are perfect 2nd half subs. Super subs. Both of those guys have skills that are neutralized by fresh defenders, but not when they are fresh and the defenders are tired. I think I have said this before.

This week I would like to see Espy, Yura and ReK up front.

Sorry todd, I didn't think we even had a chance at the playoffs so I didn't worry about it. If you look at the standings this weekend could very well decide who gets in and who doesn't. We all have to pray that either Colorado loses or Colorado ties. I think the best thing that could happen would be Colorado loses to Dallas, RSL beats Toronto, New England and Chicago draw, Colombus beats DC, Kansas City beats Seattle and the other game makes no difference (though any lose for Chivas is good so San Jose wins). Then the playoff standings would be:
Columbus 52
Houston 45
LA 45
Chivas 44
Chicago 42
Seattle 41
RSL 40*
Colorado 40*
**If RSL won by at least 2 goals

Chadders,

I'd rather see Chicago beat New England this weekend. That puts them further behind us (assuming we win), and no matter what, at least 2 teams get in from the East and the 2nd best record in the East gets the #2 seed no matter what the records of the other teams are. It's almost certain Chicago will get in, so the fewer points New England gets the better.

That is true J Crunch, but I would like RSL to have a little pressure to actually beat Colorado. It will be disappointing if we only tie. I would be ok with us getting a tie this weekend, then we might really hammer the Rappids. I hope Campos plays against Toronto because he seems to play better on the road. I remember booing him very, very loudly when he came here with San Jose. Toronto is pretty banged up so we have a decent chance at winning. I just hope the Javi that was on RSL the 2nd half of last year comes to Saturday's game. If not he should be subbed for Andy instead of Clint.
I might be one of the few that thinks Clint and Andy make our midfield very solid.

I though that was a FABULOUS game! I would LOVE it if we knocked Colorado out of the playoffs on the very last game... Just like we did last year! I would love to see RSL make the playoffs again! Make the season a couple of games longer! I think if they stay strong they can make the playoffs with no problem, they would just have to play as strong as they possibly could! (Plus then if RSL plays LA I could see Alecko Eskandarian! He will be back from his head injury!) :-) That would make this season complete! I haven't seen him all season! I think if we make it to the playoffs, it will be on the very last game of the season! That will be an exciting game!
