Ewe are lucky the yewts don't play us on our blue turf!!!!!!!!!!!

Reed's numbers would go WAY DOWN against our defenders and at our house.

The yewties and cougars are jealous because my team will be the only one to crack the BCS this year as usual.

We have the players.......
We have the plays.........
We have the experience....
We have the games.........
We have the fans..........
We'll have the wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO BOISE STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Moose on the loose | 8:11 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Dude, why are you even commenting on a Utah article? We have no rivalry with you, and couldn't care less about what Boise State or anyone else in the WAC thinks about us. Stick to your "great" conference, okay?
I like the Broncos, but you're coming on here and commenting like you guys have some huge rivalry with the Utes. Two words: You wish. Blow past a team like Alabama instead of squeaking past a weak Oklahoma in the BCS and then we'll talk.
Boise...Hahahahaha | 8:17 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
BYU beats Oklahoma, Oklahoma destroys Tulsa by 40, then Boise has to stop a 4th down attempt in the final 40 seconds to escape Tulsa with an unimpressive 28-21 win over a very average team.

Yeah, Boise is the real deal. Hahahahahahahaha. It's a good thing they play in the JV league, otherwise their perfect record with be a pipe dream.

And Locke said he wasn't a D-1 athlete.
His lil' brother is a great QB, going to Florida.
Reed's the man | 8:43 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Great article. I hope Reed can stay healthy and continue to be the play-maker. I'd love nothing more than to see him end up with the records here at Utah. He's as good of a receiver that I've seen at the U, and there have been some great ones (Steve Smith, Kevin Dyson, Paris Warren).
re: loose with a moose | 8:51 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Talk about a little brother syndrome. Boise, who?
RE: moose on the juice | 8:54 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
you have the games? recheck your schedule and your the "only ones as usual" last I checked the Utes are the only team to crack the BCS twice and win both games handily.
Hey moose | 8:59 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
You left out

We are the ones in the weak conference.....

We are the one with the WEAK schedule.....

You guys already proved how good you were last year, when you lost to the MWC 2nd place team.

I think next year you better have the atheletic department dumb down your schedule even more, teams like Tulsa are starting to push you. Just think what would have happened if they didn't have the 2nd worst O line in D-1 football.
Sneekee 23 | 9:08 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Reed is a STUD, could be the best WR in the MWC.
Ute fans, we are lucky to have him suit up for us every Sat.
I hope he continues to have a great year, break some records and then go on to be great on Sundays.
themuss | 9:10 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Boise should not even consider themselves a good team. What teams have you played ranked in the top 25 this year?? ya your great in your garbage conference but try and compete in any other conference beating teams big teams every week you guys would never be ranked
Mike and Mike | 9:37 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
The national media is counting Boise's performance last night as a loss. I heard it myself on Mike and Mike this morning. It is not a good sign when a two loss Oklahoma dominates Tulsa 45-0 and your team barely squeezes by them.

Get ready to be leap-frogged by TCU if they can beat Utah and BYU. That's right three solid, ranked teams in a conference. You should try it some time.
Ute4Life | 10:21 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Reed was a big reason the Utes won the Sugar Bowl. He made some incredible catches in that game with hands in his face etc. He has continued that this season. Hope to see him get a shot at playing on Sundays.
danburtreynolds | 10:48 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Reed is a stud. It's good to see him getting the recognition. I think Sneekee is on the right track, but I would say Reed IS the best receiver in the MWC.
Clutch | 11:38 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Reed has been so clutch this year - even when the other team knows that he is guy we are going to, they haven't been able to stop him. He is a great playmaker and a tremendous athelete.

I hope he gets the chance to play at the next level - if he stays healthy, he will have some very impressive numbers that should get him some looks.

Go Utes!!!
Utah Mann | 11:41 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009
David Reed is the man!!! He reminds me so much of Steve Smith (without the trash talk though). Great Kid, great student, great player = a UTAH MAN!!!

Thanks for choosing the U David!! I will see you Vegas!!!

GO Utes

Oh one more thing. BSU fans need to keep to themselves. Until you are in the MWC keep your mouths shut!! Nobody likes you. You barely beat Tulsa last night and have the audacity to come on a UTAH article and comment. Pathetic. Go plow the potato feilds ZOOB.

McW Ute | 1:09 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Its seems as if moose on the loose is always the first one to type a post on all the Utah articles. Wow man, get a life! You really need not to worry so much about what the Utes, the Cougars and the MWC is doing. I know Idaho is REALLY lame and boring, but come on. Get a life and go clean your mom's garage or something, before she kicks you out of the house for not paying rent for the past six months. If bsU goes to a BCS game they will most likely be another Hawaii. BSU=over-rated in a WEAK conference.

Reed is total stud. I love watching him play. I wish he had another year or two with us. Hope to see him playing on Sundays. Go kick some UNLV but!
Go Utes!!!
Dear Monitor | 2:00 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
PLEASE - block the BS fan (Loose Moose). This is ridiculous. No Moose doo in Ute articles - PLEASE. Enough is enough!
A Connecticut Rebel | 2:03 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Moose on the loose is a BYU fan just putting you guys on. Ignore the agitator since the comment guardians won't act. Boise is a near lock for BCS berth as they play no one else with any chance to beat them. My question to all is why is Utah higher in the Sagerin ratings than BYU? Maybe the Moose knows?
MWC vs. WAC | 2:09 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Here are the stats:

MWC: 2 BCS Appearances (both by my beloved U!!!)
WAC: 2 BCS Appearances

MWC: 2 convincing wins in BCS games
WAC: 1 complete slaughtering at the hands of Georgia and 1 game won by trickery, rather than pure football talent.

I'm not sure why we give BSU any attention....its widely know and talked about that the MWC is a far superior conference. BSU is the ultimate "dumb down your schedule" type team so we can make it to the BCS every year.

TCU, if unbeaten, will leap frog BSU with wins over ranked teams. Really....almost losing to Tulsa...doesn't sound like BCS material to me.
Re: Ute4Life | 2:15 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
I agree. In my opinion David Reed made the biggest play of the Sugar Bowl when he amazingly kept his balance, broke the tackle, and scored after Bama was making a comeback. Good luck to him the rest of the season and in the NFL!

GO UTES!!
Anonymous | 2:48 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Reed will probably break the season record for receptions. I bet at least 20-30 of Warren's receptions were on shuffle passes, counts as a pass, but is more like a run. I do think Utah will be better offensively if they spread the ball a bit more though.
Two things | 3:54 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
BSU will be leap frogged by TCU when they beat BYU and Utah (despite my loyalty to all teams in Utah, TCU will be tough to beat). BSU will continue to slip in the BCS rankings.

I think the MVP of the Sugar bowl was the Utah player (can't remember his name) who recovered the fumbled punt by the Utah kick returner on Alabama's first punt of the game. If that fumble went to Alabama inside the ten, they go up 7-0, Utah loses some of their mental toughness and swagger on a devastating turnover to start the game, and Utah never recovers. Momentum is key, and that player saved the Sugar Bowl for Utah early in the first quarter. Great role players make a team great.

Why on every single utah article do we have to have this moose guy post? He writes abusive, offensive, off-topic, misrepresentative topics all the time and nothing stops him from posting. What a complete joke.
I totally agree with these posts | 4:35 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Why can't the comment editors block this same old Boise garbage? The D News needs to change its comment system so you have to login under a name with a legitimate e-mail address. Most all of the other papers do this: ESPN, CBSSportsline, SLTrib, Idaho Statesman, etc. It makes it so you can immediately see who is writing, then you can consider the source.
JV | 5:31 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Loved the Junior Varsity line, and so apropos. If young players are good enough they get promoted to the varsity. BYU and Utah got promoted from the JV (wac) to the Varsity (MWC).
MiP | 6:27 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Whoa nelly.

Moose is offensive and abusive? Big deal. Beat him back with facts, then.

Reed is a great player. I applaud those kids who realize the importance of school---even tardy---and comeback and develop their smarts on and off the field.

Go Utes!

This article is about David Reed - who is a fine receiver at the University of Utah. He's in great company at a school and conference that has had many great college receivers and many that turned into excellent professional players. In the future, I suggest we all ignore this annoying pest from BSU; he will go away when they get a newspaper in Boise that has an on-line edition and allows on-line postings. There is no rivalry with the broncos.
Re: The NIT | 8:41 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009
Agreed, I'm thinking the BSU fans aren't legit. Just some losers trying to get responses to their ridiculous posts.

They are looking for attention so they just post outrageous statements knowing it will irk the BYU and Utah fans into responding.

"I suggest we all ignore this annoying pest from BSU; he will go away when they get a newspaper in Boise that has an on-line edition and allows on-line postings."

Maybe he'll go away when they get a newspaper in Boise.
