five worse teams than USU. Will USU win another game this season? Where are all you optomistic Aggie fans now? Will the administration give the coach 5 years to win 6 games in a season? Doubt it! Gary is wishing he was still in Utah. Guaranteed! New Mexico State was one of the "for sure" wins this season.
There's always next year?
RE "Name"
you obviously are not close to the progam at USU. They are headed in the right direction. They have been competitive in every game this year....no blow outs. Gary Anderson has the right attitude and WILL turn things around. Just be patient and you will see.
I know, I know, don't feed the trolls. But, five worse teams than USU. . . UNLV, Wyoming, San Diego State, Conference USA, the list goes on. Stupid question, totally subjective. (As far as offense goes, there are about 100 teams worse than USU.) Anderson won't need 5 years to crank out 6 wins. The optimistic Aggie fans are there, just cautiously optimistic. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to put down the Aggies, though. You sure showed us.
P.S. Not next year, next game.
Most consider a 35-17 defeat to two teams a blowout, except to Aggie fans who see it as a moral victory. Only at USU. 100 worse teams than USU? There are only 120 in the top division. There are few teams who are also 1-4 and a few teams with no wins. Take out the tied 1-4 records, and USU is one of the worst teams. CBS has USU ranked 115 of 120, with New Mexico and Florida Atlantic (both with no wins) ranked higher.
Face it, USU is awful.
If the Aggies can pull at least 3 wins this year we'll be poised to improve step by step. You don't turn around a program like Utah State in one season. The reason why other (big name) teams can turn things around quickly is because they already have a very strong talent and athletisism base to start with.
Under Anderson that has not been the case. When one of your starting corner backs played running back last year you know that its gonna take some time!
HAVE PATIENCE! We aren't going to get anywhere by looking to get rid of coaches after 1 or 2 seasons!
Look at what the Idaho Vandals have done this year! Last year they weren't good at all under a first year coach. Now that he's had a year to build and implement his system they are FAR BETTER!
Trash talking anonymously must be fun... The Aggies are on the rise.
Give em a chance.
Good luck Aggies. You have a great coach and your program deserves to succeed. You are right, anonymous trash talk is the bane of sports blogs, but it gives little people something to do.
Great coach? Hah.
Not a single win this season and you can't count SUU as a win their FCS. Aggies are in a downward spiral and that reflects coaching. I'll admit I first thought Andersen had the stuff to improve the Aggies. But not anymore.
Idaho, New Mexico State both have improved from last year. And it shows in their records. USU is just the same if not worse. Wake Up Aggie Fans! Logan just isn't a place where FBS level football is played and never will be. If a Coach like Andersen can't turn it around, no one can.
Polls are still at the eary "mushy" stage where some pin heads still think BYU is a national player and others think that USU is just as bad as ever. The beauty of it is that time will tell. Just like last years trouncing of the y by TCU, Utah and a dreadful bowl game showed the true character of Cougars last year. A full season in the WAC is needed to see if USU has improved or not.
As an "optimistic Aggie fan" I am looking forward to see the Aggies continue to improve this season. Anderson is a great motivational coach that instills discipline. Perhaps TDS trolls are worried that when USU improves Anderson will start to sway better recruits that were not even born in 1984.
Go Big Blue!!!
The thing we need to learn from the Idaho turn around this year is THE SCHEDULE. The way they have scheduled a mix of home and away games against MWC bottom feeders and New Mexico State was brilliant. This gave them an opportunity to grow, gain confidence, and Win early in the season. The Aggies would have matched up very well against their schedule as well. We need to dumb down our schedule and do something like this starting next year. We have got to get rid of these big money games with little chance of winning early in the season. It kills the program every year. Let's learn from Idaho and get a lot smarter with our scheduling.
Begun the process. Difference, teaching the older dogs on the team new tricks and being confident. I'll take a slow steady turn around any day over the roller-coaster ride that goes one from year to year down south. Regarding blow out games....what was the FSU BYU Final score??
I for one am still extremely optimistic and proud of our team. Tell me one other team in the country that has played as many road games as we have at this point? I doubt there is even 1. I was at College Station and we took it to them, unfortunately did not win, but played a heck of a game and almost beat them. Give me the U and BYU at home this year, and we would have beat them.
Can't wait to bring our A game against Nevada. I am sure we will beat them. Go Aggies!
