Beat the jinx.
The loss to the Red Bulls last year in the Western Conference Finals was by far the most frustrating Real game I have attended in the past 5 seasons. The cross-bar and post made more saves than Cepero and their lone goal came on a mental error by Olave. New York is currently better than their record would show. They have been playing a lot better since they fired Juan Carlso Osorio. Real will win the game, I predict the final score to be 3-0.
I hope everyone still goes to the game. Even if we miss the playoffs we can still get a little revenge and help NYRB set a record for worst team in MLS history. We are so spoiled in SLC, there is always decent teams. I guess most fans are just bandwagon fans, when our teams are great everyone loves them.
This year has definetely been dissapointing but I have been entertained. That is the whole point right? Last I checked RSL isn't Barcelona, but they are here. They usually play hard and are full of suprises. Part of being a fan is going to the games, even when they might not make the playoffs because you never know what they might do.
What if Yura scored a hat trick and you missed it? What if Mathis hit a goal of the year? What if we won 9-0? What if in a bit of irony they out played us but hit the post 6 times and we pounced on 1 mistake and won a game we had no business winning?
That's what makes it the beautiful game. Come to the game everyone.
The Red Bulls are playing better, but defensively they stink and have stunken all year. Real should win at least 2-0 obviously Angel has to be watched.
The season has had its disappointments, but it has been entertaining. Let’s face it, it is a fairly tight race especially in the Western Conference. RSL isn’t that far off, last minute goals from Houston, LA , and Colorado against RSL show how slim the margin for falling short is….In any case I WILL be at both home games, I feel like I’m in withdrawal it has been so long..
Really Sorry Losers will give up a cheap goal less than three minutes in, another two minutes later and then fall apart; eventually giving the crowd another 3-0 loss to weep over.
Kries will tell everyone that the team is working hard and improving, and fans will complain that anyone who lacks their own level of obsession "doesn't get it".
It's the way it always goes. EVERY week. It's like groundhog day for euro-wannabes.
Phil, you're cute. See you tommorrow. Save me a seat again ok?
Phil seems to be a glass is half empty guy. Even though RSL is not awesome, I do believe most would consider them the favorites to win this game.
The playoffs are still a longshot but we should at least beat New York. If we can't beat New York at home with the playoffs on the line then Kreis should go.
