Utah Utes: Team prepares for Rebels

It will be interesting to see how this game goes. I have no doubt Utah will win by a large margin; it will be completely opposite of what happened in 2007.

He learned his lesson from two years ago. Likely, history will not repeat itself in this case. Great thing about college football though is that most teams can beat better teams on any given night. Whit knows that...hope his players do.

They did that two years ago and the outcome of the game was great for UNLV.

Face it zoob. Nobody believes you're a BSU fan. BSU doesn't need the Utes to lose to earn a BCS bowl bid. BSU doesn't need the Utes to lose to win the WAC. BSU fans aren’t “fully invested” enough to post comments on a board of a team they have no rivalry with. BSU fans don’t need to justify how or why a non-rival team beat another non-rival team.

But zoobs do…if one of the teams in the Utes.

You were conspicuously absent both before BYU beat the Rams, and after. Even though the Rams outgained the cougars by over 100 yds, and the Utes likewise outgained the Rams, you only pointed to Utah for being lucky.

Good observation. From a recent visit to the YBU Campus I'd say the zoobs have plenty of cows, so no sheep needed.

I wonder why there are more Utah fans posting on BYU's articles than there are BYU fans posting on Utah's articles.

UNLV could win this game, but I would be shocked. Of course, I was shocked in 2007 when it happened, but there's no way UNLV sneaks up on Utah this year. However, it's important to remember Oregon State only beat this UNLV team on a last second fieldgoal. The outcome depends entirely on which teams show up. If UNLV looks like a team that's given up on their soon-to-be-fired coach like they did against BYU (which is what I expect) then look for a comfortable win for Utah. I don't think Utah has the offensive firepower to make UNLV pay like BYU did, but Utah's defense is as good or better than BYU's, so my prediction is Utah by 21 (35-14). If Utah gets behind and plays tight this could be a nail-bitter like CSU.
