U.S. clinches sixth straight World Cup berth

Great game. Pretty decent qualification campaign. Go USA!!! And how about those uniforms!!!! Very good looking. Those are some of the best uniforms I have ever seen the USA in...the only better being the Blue/White/Blue we wore in the quarter-finals of the 2002 WC loss to Germany. Why on earth do our home colors have to be white?!?!??!

Can't wait for South Africa 10. I wanna see us get to and do some damage in the knock-out phase.

You expect the US to qualify easily, but it is always a huge relief when we do. Congrats USA. Now lets beat Costa Rica on Wednesday just so Mexico doesn't finish in 1st place. We need to get a great bracket in the World Cup.

Funny how Bob Bradley's critics are silent after the victory. He gambled with Conor Casey and it paid off.

I bought the road jersey (the one they wore here) a long time ago. Since then, they have NEVER wore it. This was the first game in probably over a year that they have... of course it was the one game I didnt wear mine

I am a Bradley critic and I hate Connor Casey. If we had a coach capable of winning the WC, we would have clinched a long time ago. We are the biggest country in our region, with the most money and the best athletes. Just because we squeezed in a game before it was really do or die doesn't prove Bradley is the man for the job. At this rate we won't get out of group play again.
In my opinion Bradley has done a decent job of raising the US from a joke soccer country to respectable. I feel that he has reached his ceiling. We should have had that German guy as the coach (I wanna guess his name as Kleinmann?). With a top coach we wouldn't have lost a game. I sure hope they prove me wrong like they mostly did in the Confederations Cup.

I still hate Connor Casey, I booed that guy during the allstar game hahaha, I still can't stand Bradley, he is not a good coach at all, he is the better of the coaches we have had, but he still isn't world class.

Hate Connor Casey all you want.. but he just helped punch out ticket to the 2010 World Cup. I have been in Connor Casey's corner for a while now, and even asked for more playing time on these blogs. Great job by him and everybody else on the USA team. Now lets make some noise at the cup!

Chadders I have to disagree with you here. Bradley has been widely critisized since his first day on the job, and he's done nothing but improve the program. He was supposed to be a temperory guy until we found the real coach, but he's still around winning games.
Just because some dude in Germany (that most of us obviously don't even know) has some huge resume doesn't mean he's the guy for the job.
