LP

dog your the best in the state! Aside from team and all that your the best all around QB in the state and obviously in the nation bruh!!! how tight is that! dude if you had a D your team would dominate! At least you dominate dog!

Finally

LP I couldn't agree w/you more. It's about time Hart gets some credit. He has been leading the nation for the last 4 weeks. Finally he gets some notoriety. Thanks D-News for finally explaining what Jordan fans have known all year. Hart is going to make a great QB for a great program somewhere. Who ever picks him up will be lucky to have such a superstar. They might want to grag Braden Hammond to. Keep doing what you do Hart.

jtown

its about time! Hart is the man and he LEADS THE NATION IN PASSING! when was the last time someone in utha lead the nation in anything. Alex doesn't get the credit he deserves! Also Hammond is second in the nation in recieving... he also should be given a lot of props! WHY AREN'T COLLEGES LOOKING AT THESE TWO! They are both legit football players that no one will give a chance. i hope hart will throw for 500 yards against t-ville! GO DIGGERS!

Size and Speed

Hammond is 5'-9" and 140 pound soaking wet. Yep...he gets alot of receptions in Utah High School but would do anything in a JC? Not sure. I do think this kid gets all he can from his stature.

Leads the nation?

So could i throwing 60 times a game

Bingham

What happened to Hunt? He's the one we couldn't stop last year.

hunt

has a scholarship to utah for baseball... and he's been injured

Lloyd is better

just ask the College coaches. Stanford full ride vs. Walk on at SUU? PG Rules!!!

hammond

might be small, but have you ever seen this kid go down injured after getting hit? no. this kid is tougher then most in the state. he is quickest kid i've ever seen play high school football.

LEADS THE NATION

No doubt he has been great but all the southern schools are 1 to 2 games behind Utah. Really good player and best of luck to him.

RAM

Don't be fooled about size in a WR. I'll take a small quick receiver who can play, understand man vs. zone routes and catch the ball going over the middle over a big receiver who can't. There is no way he does what he does and can't take it to the next level. There are a ton of spread programs around the US that could use this guy in a slot receiver spot.

Hello Utah State. Recruit football players and leave your tape measure in the tool box where it belongs.

There is a reason

Congrats, however the offense is designed to pass thats all they do, it is designed to stack the QB. There are several QB's in the state that would do the same thing if they were running the same offense. If you disagree with me then why doesn't he have any scholarship offers? The recruiters know what they are doing. He doesn't even have a JC offer. Anyone can pad stats. If he is so good how come the team is so terrible. A great QB with a terrible team. Don't think a college wants a QB who can't win, its as simple as that.

re RAM:

I agree RAM. Kevin Curtis came from Utah State and plays for the Eagles. He is not a big WR. Very smart and quick. He is a good example of what RAM just said. I think Hammond has some similar qualities. I'm not saying he is as good as Curtis.

WR

The article is about the QB not the WR, so quit trying to pump your kid up.

RE: LEADS THE NATION

All them southern schools run the ball son! It isn't going to matter that they are 1 game behind. Alex is good and he deserves a shot as a college QB!

re:RAM

D1 is definitely a different ball game. I'm sure he is being evaluated by college coaches even D1. Only 1 out of 5000 HS athletes get scholarships in football. A HS stud could be just another guy at the next level. It's great that these kids get recognized for their performance in HS but believe me, big HS numbers don't guarantee a slot at the next level. It's their ability to fit into a program and make a difference.

Tough

Alex played in the playoff game against Bingham and couldn't run because he had a broken leg. He stood in the pocket and threw the ball. He got decked by Bingham all game long. Lloyd went out of a close game last week with a hurt shoulder. How do you like those apples PG Rules. Lloyd is not better. Someone got Lloyd name out there. Alex is getting his own name out there with his numbers and performance. No help from just talk. Actions speak baby! Go Diggers!

RE:re: Leads the nation

Southern schools don't always run the ball....Pass first then run when they have too. I concurr with "there is a reason". we all have to agree that stacked stats happen in passing teams especially when playing 31/2 to 4 qtrs per game of a passing offense.

Still a respectable accomplishment for the Hart kid.

passing

Not just anyone can stay in the pocket..not just anyone can make the right reads.... not just anyone can deliver the ball with accuracy....all in about the 3 seconds he has to throw the ball.Give the kid some credit. It seems to me if you throw 50 a game and complete 75% thats pretty dang good. I dont think you can just throw anyone in that offense.

RE: There is a reason

I do disagree with you.
Hart leads the team in rushing yd's as well. They would like to run the ball they can't.
You say its easy to pad the stats when you through the ball so much? Don't you think opposing teams know that? Obviosly you don't know what you're talking about because they still can't stop the pass. LP rushed 3 and sometimes 4 and dropped the rest.
Stop trying to pull a kid down to try make another kid look better.
This was a nice article about a talented kid. Yes, Hammond and Hunt have a ton to do with his accomplishments. By the way the stats were still there when Hunt has been injured for most of the year. Maybe they should stop trying to give all the credit to others (last years O-line) and appreciate what Hart's been able to do.
Great job, keep it up.
By the way Jordan scores the 3rd most in 5A. Only 4 teams give up more points in 5A. Its hard to win when you score 36 a game and give up 32 points a game.
Stats matter.
