db's commit pass interference on every play!
Utah Man | 1:21 a.m. Oct. 11, 2009
Stud performance! This will dwell in the minds of the rest of the Conference QB's (especially that interception factory in provo)

This just goes to show how good the defense was last year. They had 3 players in the defensive backfield that will play on Sundays. That's great recruiting and putting players where they can succeed.

Nice come from behind win last night.

byu's db's don't commit pass interference...way to slow to be anywhere close. They mostly just HOLD them until their little legs can't keep up with the elite receivers.

GO UTES.

GREAT PERFORMANCE JOHNSON.

Your "elite" receivers will struggle to put 21 points on the board at LES.

We'll have a new quarterback who throws 5 interceptions in the rivalry game this year.

Ernest T. Bass | 2:29 p.m. Oct. 11, 2009
Why should he get the award for some pass interference calls that weren't called on him?
uts | 5:55 p.m. Oct. 11, 2009
are only a shell of last years team! They looked like dog stuffing yesterday!

thank you "bit utah fan" and "ernest t. bass" i thought i was gonna get through a whole section of comments without reading comments from zoobs totally making fools of themselves. right on cue guys!
re:funny | 11:04 p.m. Oct. 11, 2009
do BYU fans have room to talk about any other quarterbacks interceptions? its kind of ironic you would choose to say 5 interceptions though isn't it? ring a bell?
Just mad... | 10:53 a.m. Oct. 12, 2009
The zoobs are just upset because they only way they get a turnover is if someone hands it to them, Johnson and the rest of the Utes gos out and EARNS them.

Now that I say that I do have to say that Hall does hand them over, so now you have a SENIOR QB that finally has one game not averaging 2 INTs and up against a team that will take the ball from him, I say Hall and Co. is good for another 6 turnovers this year.
(Keep in mind Utah could easily had 10 last year against TDS)
There was only one TD and the FG that Utah didn't drop an INT on, should have been 48-10, but hey Utah isn't perfect!
Well, duhhh... | 5:25 p.m. Oct. 12, 2009
The first sentence pre-supposes that a Utah player should have earned the award.

Right, someone has really stepped up to earn the award...NOT.
Earning TOs (From a Ute Fan) | 11:19 a.m. Oct. 13, 2009
Are you saying Jordan Pendleton didn't earn that interception? Granted it was kind of a lazy attempt by UNLV to throw the ball away, but that play was still pretty impressive and far from a gift.

As for those cougar fans saying this Ute team isn't anything like last years. Just remember all the close calls and "unispiring" Ute performances early on last year. Tons of you made a big deal about how inconsistent the offense was to start the year. Only to see it round into excellent shape in plenty of time for a beat down of BYU.

Wow. Just goes to show the maturity level of the average y fan huh?

FYI... players don't get Player of the Week awards by flailing their arms and crying. They get them by going out and playing good football. And by the way... the Utes and their fans did not proclaim a National Championship at the beginning of the season... can the same be said for the team and fans in smug valley?
