Screening for breast cancer is stressed

How does a Radiologist make money? Is it by selling the idea of giving x-rays? Maybe by introducing radiation to a woman's breasts you're actually increasing the likelihood of these otherwise healthy women of developing cancer?
It seems as though Radiologists and Oncologists are becoming to human bodies what shady car mechanics are becoming to cars. You create a problem and present your expensive diagnosis and treatment as the solution rather than address the "Why?" Why are women coming down with breast cancer? What is the cause? Am I part of the cause?
