There would have been no plea and she would have been convicted of statutory rape. Dual standard.

Incredible....
There are other ways to show that you love the girl, like encouraging her to do her best on the team and in school....Not sexually.....What a world we live in....
Yes, she'd have gotten worse if she was a man--or if the student had been male.
It appears that too many people who work for the state have too much time and money. They use their positions to seduce underage children and usually plead innocense. Time to clean up the public employee sector, especially the schools.
Jared, she only worked for the state in her capacity as a part-time assistant, maybe not even paid. So don't make generalizations about state employees.
