I grew up in Springville and participated in many competitions against Spanish Fork. What a great rivalry it was then (we once had a triple overtime basketball game), and it still is, I'm sure.

Spanish having Hayden Nielson, Travis Still, Pj Inoke and Chase Loftin Spanish Fork's offence is baiscilly unstopable and having such a strong front line, isaac Asiata, JR Brandon and Matt Graham Spanish Fork will come out with a victory. Springville may have a good defence but spanish fork defence will step up and shut sprinville's offence down. Score will be a blow out with spanish throwin 49 on the board and springville only with 7

The Dons are weak. You are too slow and your o line is not as good as you think. Several holes in your protection and your run blocking are going to be exposed. Nice job on defense the last two weeks as well. Payson scored an impresive 0 on us and 30 something on your great defense.

Question for anyone from Spanish Fork...Is Issac Asiata related to the Univerisity Of Utah's Matt Asiata? Just wondering, and Thanks For Any Info.

I think this game is going to be a little closer than you think, and I am from SF. Both teams have some great athletes and pretty good coaching. It should be a pretty fun and intense game to watch.

And heed, I think you could have left a few of your "key" players off of the list and added a few others. A couple of those guys only play a few plays per game, and pretty much all of them are offensive guys. The "key" players in this game will be the defensive coaches and players for SF.

And how many points did you score against Payson? Oh ya, 14. Which if we subtract the difference, the game is a tie.

BTW, nice offensive explosion against the two weakest teams in the region, they sure made you look good.

I think this game is going to be big for the next 3 years because both teams are loaded with talented Juniors and Sophomores. But this season belongs to the Don's. We just have too much speed on offense and will not be stopped maybe slowed down a little in this game but not stopped.

Isacc Asiata is Matt Asiata's cousin, and by the way "Dandy Don", I hope you meant tuning up w/ 5a teams last year, because SF has not played a 5a team. The only "good" team they have played was Bountiful (4a), and SF was destroyed.

Having a game that has meaning between Spanish and Springville is fantastic. I certainly hope that it is as good as it is billed. It comes down to who wants it and can execute their game plan as both teams have playmakers on both sides. I'd say that turnovers will play a huge role and kicking. I think Springville has an advantage in that last category so I'm going Springville 27 Spanish 24.

if you look at it statistically...

the dons have the number 1 offence in 4A and the number 3 offence in the sate of utah..

compare that to springvilles D which is...21st in 4A and the number 29th in the state. anddd

springvilles O in 4A...44th.

compared to SF's in 35th D in 4a

umm...im pretty sure that springville will not win...

umm...bountiful is the number 1 team in 4A...we played and yes lost but..

springville played dixie? almost lost...barely won
springville played juan diego? lost...

and dont say anything about how we had an easy schedule.

we played mt. view. beat em 49-21. springville played them.

got the victory but only 24-0 thats saying something about your offence

the teams we played were decent teams last year. its not our fault they didnt have it this year. our coaches picked them out before we had any idea on how their players were and how they played...

Well I am a red devil fan and as much as I hate to admit it I think Spanish will win by 14. Our defense is probably better then theirs when you look at teams we have played and points we allowed, ie mtn view and payson, but their O outscores us against the same teams.

I predict a good game, but they have the upper hand.

Two mistakes in the first qrt by Payson gave Springville 14 points, Springville coundn't do anything the rest of the game. Two mistakes in the forth qrt. let SF pull ahead by 16 points aganist Payson.
Game could go to whoever makes two less mistakes. But I really think SF by 14, to many good receivers.

What are you talking about Spanish averages scoring 43.5 points per game and yes this is #1 in 4A. But they allow 25.8 per game which is good for 18th out of 29 4A teams.

Springville averages 28.4 which is 14th in 4A on offense but they only allow 10 on defense which is good 2nd in 4A.

Differential in 4A has Springville at 5th and Spanish Fork at 7th.

But all this means is it should be a good game.

The difference just might be the homefield advantage.

The points for and against include the stomping that Springville laid on Maple Mountain and SF's loss to Bountiful. When SF plays MM they will drop 60 on them which will up their average as well.

Wow, that was a really exciting game being a student at Maple Mountain High School I went for the entertainment. I used to go to SF and loved it but now really just wanted to watch the game. SF dominated the 1st half but Springville didn't back down with a very impressive 2nd half and a nice winning drive. Awesome game.

Its too bad that Spanish Fork players and Fans had to talk so much smack about springville before this game. Springville brought the smack down to the field. None of you Spanish Forkians even saw it coming. Its too bad you let your heads get too big. Springville showed up to play football. They have just begun to show what they are made of. Springville lives in the present, not the past nor the future. They played on friday night to play for the win. Springville is on a great rise, and because they only live in the present, they will be strong willed when it comes to playoffs. Its too bad SF didn't see what was coming for them. They underestimated the potential of springville's powerful offense and dominating defense. It my eyes, stats are only stats, they don't prove anything. As proven in Friday nights game. Again, it was sad to see the big bad DONS talking smack before the game. But it is no miricle that The Mighty Reds layed the smack down on friday night. The Devils have burning hearts, which won't let up.

SF I think gave it to Springville, they had it in the bag at half time and got coxy and came out thinking it was over and they could take a break, it cost them. I think its sick and wrong that SF has no spirit to match there great team. The school needs more spirit the Springville section had a great turn out with lots of spirit. But I go to SF and support them 100% we just need more spirit and to tighten up or D.
