Too bad, for Edward's sake, that there are no 5'7, 135 lb. corner-backs in the NFL that he can take advantage of.
I actually think He is a pretty decent player. His pro bowl season the browns were almost a play of team. His production has dropped off but at the same time his team has been bad and he did not have a QB to throw to him that was any good(a lot because the line didn't do much protecting) to be a productive receiver you have to have a good player throwing you the ball and the browns do not have that right not. He will be better off with Sanchez getting him the ball. He will be on a better team and will become a much better receiver. Not a Hall of Fame guy but a pretty productive guy. I think this trade really happened because he doesn't like LeBron. Cleveland will do anything they can to keep LeBron from leaving next year and I would bet that if Braylon and LeBron were friends then the trade would not have happened. Let's face it people....Unless you are good with LeBron you aren't worth Cleveland's(the city) time. Keep LeBron Happy and he MIGHT stay.
The article mentioned the Jets looked at Plaxico Burress and Brandon Marshall. Now they traded for Braylon Edwards. Anybody else think it not a good thing for the Jets, or any team, to be looking at troublemakers? Are their misdeeds just being ignored because of their football skills? From my perspective the efforts of the Jets doesn't speak well of the team and organization.
TJ, I agree that anyone in Cleveland who angers LeBron is in trouble. It's all about LeBron, always was, and always will be. Remember him getting suspended in high school because a business owner gave him free jerseys and caused questions on his amateur status? Wasn't there also a Hummer or other SUV that he drove that no way could his family afford? Somehow things got smoothed over so he could still play the rest of his senior season of high school. That's why I say it was all about LeBron in the past also.
Why are some professional athletes out at all hours of the night? Aren't they supposed to keep themselves fit to play? How is that possible when out until 2:30 (Edwards) or 6 (Miguel Cabrera)?
