US ships should boycott the island, and go to other more friendly islands with tourist.

My family was on this island from Aug 30 to Sept 6 for a one week vacation (same week the New Yorkers were arrested). I can tell you that we will never go back nor will we recommend our friends to go there. People there generally just want to ripoff tourist. They are rude including people at the airport and the people collecting money from tourists before they leave -- everyone must pay $20 departure fee before you can leave this place. The island is not nearly as beautiful as other Caribbean islands we have visited. A horrible place to go.

Anonymous the people are not rude. Many other caribbean islands charge departure taxes even the nationals have to pay it when leaving. In the United States you pay all forms of taxes to help in the upkeep of it and the departure tax is just a form of raising revenue to help in the upkeep of the island.

What you need to remember is that everything comes with consequences. It is a LIE when they say the building was poorly marked. The story was exaggerated. It was a prison cell not a frikin hotel room.
They did something wrong and they paid for it. Every judicial systems are not the same.

Oh and the island is very beautiful fyi!!! We take pride in our tourism however, we will treat them as a citizen would be treated when it comes to the law and will be punished at the full extent of the law.
