Social Worker | 10:56 a.m. Oct. 7, 2009
I am a social worker with a masters degree. I went to visit a young man who was incarcerated at Oxbow. A young man working behind the desk, named Madsen, was rude, ignorant, obnoxious, condescending, and immature. Perhaps he thought that all who visited were criminals as well and deserving of such disrespect. Too bad the sheriff's department does not train their employees better/ After all my taxes pays their salaries.

Maybe that clerk had a bad day. Maybe he didn't want to be working over at oxbow. Maybe you're a jerk and he'd just had to deal with one too many jerks that day.

Well, by your comment you come across as arrogant and rude and I'm sure the clerk picked up on that and didn't want to put up with it. I have a masters degree as well, but I don't start off every conversation telling people that.

I would have thought that a person with a "Social Worker" degree and level of education, assuming you really have one, would in fact have something positive to say about the progress of the Sheriff's Office. I find it interesting that a social worker would be more concerned about themselves then about the progress, which has a positive "social" impact on society. The one thing you have defiantly pointed out is that a person can be a narcissist (look it up in the DSM-IV) and be a “social worker” which I find as a conflict. Good luck with your diagnosis.

Right on, Free Diagnosis! Well, so anyway, I worked at Oxbow when Madsen was there. Ya, and so, like, that was in 1992. Are you gonna build that bridge and GET OVER IT, Mr. Social Worker? Hmmmmm?
But, seriously, you should head over there now and note the professionalism and curtiousness coming out of there. It's a new era and you might do well to join us in it!
