Thanks for the fine article. My wife and I along with some members of our family,now numbering seventy eight, were at the dedication.
We will be ever greatful to all who have helped with the restoration and continue to take a great interest in "Our" cabin.

Nice story! Those ladies have done a good job of FURNISHING the cabin. HOWEVER, there are a few dicrepencies in the article such as reference to Richard Bettis. The truth is that USING THE OLD DOOR AS A PATTERN He made a NEW DOOR exactly like the old one. Lavell Hone did the same with the windows and the back door. The ladies left out the fact the cabin was RECONSTRUCTED by several Santaquin men and members of the SONS OF UTAH PIONEERS who dismantled the cabin log by log at the old site and RECONSTRUCTED it on the new site. They dovetailed the 12 new logs that were inserted,and also shaped the logs as pioneers would have done. A few DUP ladies helped a bit with the chinking of the logs. Santaquin City staff was also very helpful in the reconstruction.
