and potential maybe he will step up?
Chambers also has butterfingers. Hope you're right, however.
Wide Reciever is the only position where UNLV is better then BYU. Losing Jacobsen for this weeks game is unfortunate, but won't have much bearing on the outcome.
BYU's Offense isn't problem. It's the Defense that is thin. There are plenty of recievers. Not enough back ups for the Backers.
It seems that the offense isn't using the short passing game as much over the past two seasons. I thought that was what made the Beck-era offense very effective. Maybe losing a downfield threat for a few weeks can improve the ability at dumping the ball off to one of the running backs a little more often rather than forcing it down field.
Problem is Max throws all his short passes to the guys from the other team. Anybody checked to see if he is color blind. Maybe he cannot tell the white jerseys from the colored one :-)
BYU will kill unlv,I have no doubts.
28-10
Clearly, the BYU players have not been reading the discussion boards here (see the original article declaring the injury) or they would have known that their season is over and they don't even have a chance to make it to a bowl game.
Those poor, ignorant fools.
That's because all the Ute fans are ignoring their team's glaring, obvious problems and consoling themselves by tearing down the Cougars.
If you'll notice, DesNews articles about the Utes average less than half the comments than articles about the Cougars. It's because Utah fans are desperate to see BYU lose so their team's likely 7-5 or 8-4 finish this year won't seem so bad.
Hopefully Jacobsen will get healthy soon, gonna need him against TCU. Offense seems fine, I'm still not sure what's going to happen each week on defense.
Uh yeah, 28-10 is a killing? I think it's safe to say you're a troll.
It's always cute when ute fans check in with their "Max throws to the other team comments." Mind you, if they were a real threat this year, it might actually be annoying -- but welcome, utes....
pick a slow white guy to step up cougs, you have dozens to choose from. If you could recruit as well as the Mighty Utes then you would have an all american step in for the last one. Utah is absolutely loaded at WR and the poor cougs cant even fill open slots.
How do you spell national power?
BYU.
Go Cougars!
C'mon kids. Can't you play nice? If you can't say something good about each other, then don't say nothing at all...Oh, and by the way did you realize that BYU and Utah are 0-3 against Boise State?
Troll?! interesting. well i used "kill" for lack of a better word. Kill dosen't mean in the score. It can also be stats. I think The Y will beat unlv ofensivly and with turnovers. thanks for a laugh.
YAWN.....and that is......THE TRUTH
"Utah is absolutely loaded at WR"
Too bad Utah doesn't have a QB who is capable of throwing a decent pass to all of those "all-American" WRs at Utah.
And without a decent running back, Utah is in BIG trouble as the Utes head into MWC play.

Congratulations, the Broncos beat BYU twice during the worst 3 years of BYU football in the last 50 years. And the 2nd win was at home, by ONE POINT with an 11-1, 12th-ranked team against a BYU team that finished with a 4-7 record; and that, only after...
If Matt Payne's last-minute field goal try drifted a few more feet to the right, the nation's longest winning streak would no longer belong to Boise State.
The No. 21 Broncos held off Brigham Young 28-27 Friday night, rallying with a late touchdown and winning when Payne missed from 38-yards out with 23 seconds remaining.
That is a good point, how many top 10 teams have you beaten this year? And wait the new rankings came out and I didnt see you guys in front of us, or behind us, were you in the top 25 even??? Oh I guess not?? How many ranked teams have you beaten this year?? Your right though, your WR are super!
