Thank you DesNews for reporting on the Priesthood session talks. Thank you President Monson for your counsel.

This one smacked me right up side the head. Just what I needed to hear as I was nursing "wounds" from being "offended." Time to be humbled.

It would be nice if people would look up conflict resolution skills online and get some. Or maybe if they were to teach negotiation or anger management skills in school...

Mr. or Ms. Ananymous. This talk has nothing to do with Glenn Beck or others like him. It has all to do with our own self control. Resistance to the ungodly is best accomplished with a cool head and not in anger.

This was a very good talk, and one which should be taken to heart by anyone, LDS or not.

I find it interesting though...on another thread in regards to the announcement of 5 new temples, I pointed out that the temple in D.C. cost around 15 million dollars, and voiced my opinion that 15 million dollars would go a long way in filling empty bellies and sheltering the homeless.

My words prompted a number of very angry responses.

Perhaps they missed this part of President Monson's talk.

divorced but moving forward

with this talk and others from this weekend it confirmed to me that I have been making the right choices and doing the right things....I am so greatful for having a living prophet on the other today. I only wish that some people in my life would have listened and headed the counsel as it has been shown that the spirt can't be with you if you have selfish desires, resentments, and anger toward someone.....

Thank you Pres. Monson for your very timely and much needed counsel. I've seen that some men will not listen to their wives when asked to control their anger, especially over trivial things, as it damages family relationships. Hopefully they will heed the prophet's counsel before it is too late.
