This talk by Elder Bednar was outstanding. My wife and I especially captivated by the painting hanging in his office, of a wheat field. It looked like it was third dimensional. Could we find out who the artist was, and is it possible to get a print of it?
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all applied this principle in our EVERY day lives. I remember a Sister Gedeborg in Idaho who said that we, as wives, should never let our husband (or children) leave the house without our first giving a sweet expression of love. She said we may never know when that may be the last time we see them in mortality. I have practiced this with my husband and now with my adult children, even if it is expressed when saying goodbye on the phone!
This talke also meant a lot to my husband and I. I would Love to be able to get a copy of the painting for my husband for Christmas so we can be reminded.
The painting is "Golden Harvest" by David M. Merrill and is available at Deseret Book in October 2010.
