Run, run, run | 12:00 a.m. Oct. 3, 2009
The way Max is throwing Interceptions BYU should run a little more. Too bad for Pitta because it would mean fewer passes coming his way. This from a diehard BYU fan. Max quit pushing it.

Funny how many Utes said that their fast QB and fast runners will kill BYU's slow defense.

Well Utah gave up over twice as many rush yards than BYU.

I guess Utah mast have a slow or weak defense.

If Utah gave up 221 rush yards to USU, I can't imagine what Unga and company will do to them.

poor yewties...

Bingham would give BYU a pretty good game, seriously. Does anyone know if a college team has ever played a high school team in Utah? The Utes are a little too quick, but we could give BYU a good run.

I agree with "run, run, run." When BYU gets behind in a tough game, suddenly they start passing to catch up, the opposing defense knows they're going to pass, and the wheels totally fall off and BYU experiences a whipping. BYU will beat TCU if they can keep the game close, but if they get behind by 10, I'm going for the Alka-seltzer early.
Ball control | 9:18 a.m. Oct. 3, 2009
One of the best defensive weapons BYU has is to make long sustained drives and keep the ball away from the other team. The faster BYU develops a great defense the faster they will get national respect.

Hall needs to quit putting balls up for grabs and expecting his receivers to go get them.

There is something about the BYU QB system that produces QBs who force the ball and who do not throw the ball away when they should.

These were the two biggest problems Beck exhibited at Miami.

If BYU can run on TCU and Utah they will have no trouble with either team as long as they do not turn the ball over.

If BYU can't run on TCU and has to rely on Hall forcing the ball into the TCU defense it will be a bad game.

BYU's offense has consistently put the defense in bad positions this year. Every game the offense has fumbled or thrown interceptions that gave short fields.

The defense is better this year. Offense should be better. Sometimes it is a bad route and not Hall's fault. 1/2 of the time is it bad decision making.

In a post on Thursday I said BYU needed to run the ball 35-45 times...

Thank you Anae for doing the obvious.
Re:Miners | 9:48 a.m. Oct. 3, 2009
Why don't you try USU first, or even Weber and then work your way up and flap your jaws after beating them?

Just wanted to welcome ewe to another BYU article. Seriously, don't U yewts get tired of posing as other team's fans so you can bag on Hall?

Since Eweties seem to be the one's reading and posting on this message board today I'll discuss what we learned about the rivalry from the first common opponent. It was interesting how similar this game was to the USU/Utah game. Same score, same turnover margin, similar yardage and time of possession, etc. I think BYU and Utah are very close, although with the game in Provo and Asiata gone for the season, the edge has to go to BYU right now. I think Utah will probably win eight or nine games before the rivalry. I also don't see BYU losing to anyone but maybe TCU before then.

Utah State is definitely improving and BYU and Utah's wins will look a lot better by the end of the season when USU is around 6-6 and bowl eligible.

As usual a Cewgar opens their mouth without thinking, Utah gave up 96 of the 221 rushing yards on one broken play. otherwise its 125 yards to 104. Lets talk about how you gave up 100 more yards in the air and let Borel complete 64% of his passes as opposed to 38% against Utah. And I find it funny you even wanna talk about yards given up, You gave up more yards than gained vs CSU, (438 to 373) You have allowed 3 of your opponents to gain their season highs on you.
one last thing.... | 5:14 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009
You BYU fans said Florida St had more speed than Oklahoma and they were just unreal. Well, they are now 2-3 with wins over Jacksonville st 19-9 and BYU 54-28, yup, those scores are not backwards. And also losses to South Florida, Miami and Boston College. All teams who are nothing. Tuck your tails and maybe next year you can get to Utahs national level. In the meantime they are playin the Fluke of 84 on the Mtn all week
Re funny | 5:45 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009
Literally 90 of those yards were on one play. First game of the season always brings big plays on defenses take that one run away and look at their yards
Miami 21 - Oklahoma 20 | 9:44 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009
The Oklahoma win isn't looking so sweet anymore...... Boston College beat Florida St. earlier today as well.

Just like last year, the kewgs and zoobie nation had a little success and then fell flat on their faces from pride, arrogance and ignorance.

My guess is your team will look better against faster teams like Utah and TCU because the turf can be mowed a little longer than usual and the new sod that is tearing apart can be soaked before each game in an attempt to neutralize the superior speed these two teams have. This will keep the score closer but the athletic teams will still win.

FYI, go look at some post on Utah articles, the first to post are rude zoobies.

Harvey is Key | 10:16 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009
If Unga had played the whole game against Florida State and Max was limited on his throws, it well coulda been a W. That blemish ruined the season. Max needs to be demoted.
Utah has the edge. | 10:21 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009
I think with Hall playing Utah has the edge. Bronco. Maybe you should try Riley Nelson?

Why wasting your time reading and posting this cougar article. I don't look at your U article which it is waste of time!
Just get better and be wiser in the air or just run more. Go Cougars!!

That 8-minute drive for BYU was sweet.
