Lawns green? | 10:30 a.m. Oct. 3, 2009
I commend the innovator who is promoting greener and cleaner ways to mow our lawns. My architect explained to me, however, that if you spend more time mowing your lawn than actually playing on it, it is probably time to rip up your lawn.

Lawns in Utah guzzle so much water, water that we need to conserve given the booming population growth we're going to have over the next two decades, and God isn't giving us any more water! We need water to create all the new coal-fired and nuclear electricity we're going to need to accomodate all the new sprawling homes. We're going to need all that water for food production to feed those people as well.

Climatologists say that Utah is going to be hurt significantly by climate disruption because the warming temperatures will increase evaporation of water, meaning that we may still get the same amount of rain we have today, but it will be sucked up by the sun.

This article neglected to tell us how the equipment would be refueled. You don't just pour propane or natural gas into your trimmer. Both of these fuels are especially hard to handle since these fuels need to be held under pressure.

>>>>you purchase a propane canister (the small ones) from any retail store and screw it into the engine. I have used one and they are great. less noise, easy as anything to start, not cheap but well worth it. no pumping, no priming, no gas spills.
