Very innacurate study | 4:47 a.m. Oct. 2, 2009
I wish they would stop this insane and inaccurate study they have been doing. It is very misleading and very limited in its testing and evaluations of the economy in Utah. And far from the real facts.

"You could probably save a lot of money – if time and mileage were no object ... But it's simply not realistic because nobody shops that way."

Maybe not - but I don't buy the same things every week either. Other than bread - which I buy one inexpensive store brand that we really like - $1.50 a loaf, just about everything I buy has to be on sale, don't care what brand, and I buy enough to last until the next sale. I go shopping once a week or so, hit three stores in a loop (so not much extra in gas), and buy whatever's on the best sales, and that's what we eat. I have a basement room for a pantry, two big freezers and an extra fridge, and I use them and rotate what I buy. This study is pretty useless.

Why do you care? Skip it if you don't like it. I don't think it pretends to be a "study." But I can't see why you would be bent out of shape because they tell you that prices vary greatly from store to store and here's the average price. Me? I look at the average and if my store's running high, then I think about whether I want to find a different store.
