After my ex-wife had an affair she refused to reconcile with me because she had reconciled with God. We stayed married for another 15 years but I knew where I was in her mind and that was not very high. After years of spending money without telling me and me then finding out about it and finally when she left because I wouldnt' give her anymore money, I closed the door and wouldn't let her return. The point I'm trying to make is that it's probably best to reconcile with the people around you before you reconcile with God. When you reconcile with God first you are justifing your actions at the expense of everyone else. It's weak, it's wrong, it's not honest with God or people.

"For if when we were God's enemies we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son..."(Romans 5:10)
What are we saved from? Verse 9 tells us we are "saved from God's wrath."
So on the Cross God took out his wrath on Christ,that we deserve. powerful
