Another pointless death. Secure your firearms, people.
People who own guns need to store them correctly. A .22 is a deadly killer if you get shot with one. I'm sorry for the girls family. The male friend will have to live with this for the rest of his life.
You guys are right on. The firearm in this situation wasn't properly secured, a round was in the chamber, and it was an "accident" waiting to happen. People think guns are toys. But they are designed for one thing. And they are very effective in doing it.
RIP Molly, we love you.
Adults get shot, children get shot, handguns are stolen and used in crimes - heck, even a toilet and a few bears have been unnecessarily shot in Utah by all the wannabe cowboys who are obviously trying to compensate for something by owning handguns. Give it up, you bunch of cowards, and stop acting like this is the wild wild west of 200 years ago!
You have a million times more chance of getting killed in a car wreck than a gun. Do you give up your car too? It was an accident that everyone can learn from. The right to bear arms is and always will be important.
