I don't see that big of a spread over CSU. You called all of the other games closer. Incongruous, man.

We'll see what this year's team is made of by how the defense plays. I expect the offense to be the same--score a lot, throw interceptions, etc., but be good enough to win IF the defense shows up.

BYU still has a chance for a BCS game, but it's a really really outside chance (close to nil). Still, it's a chance. They'd have to run the table, score a lot, defend a lot, and hope Boise State stumbels.

The CSU game now looms as the biggest for BYU.

And, you can probably say that for every game thereafter as long as BYU keeps winning. Another loss in conference, and nothing matters much after that--even if BYU wins the conf champ with a conf loss.

Still, most teams in the conference would LOVE to end the season with only 2 losses!

My, oh my, how much we Cougar fans expect!

I see a big Cougar "we're angry" win. Sort of like a couple of years ago when a 1-2 BYU whipped undefeated Air Force in Provo.

CSU has played a bunch of nobodies this season: bottom of the Big 12, bottom of the WAC, and a D1-AA team. Do they really think they're that good because they have a 3-0 record against those patsy teams? BYU beat #3 OU on the road and smoked a weak Tulane in New Orleans. There's no way CSU comes to Provo, after BYU lost so badly to FSU just one week ago, and leaves with a win. It won't even be close. BYU will win by at least 4 touchdowns. CSU will leave Provo tonight knowing that they're still not even close to being one of the top 3 teams in the MWC. Sorry CSU but you're not that good this year.

There's also no way that SDSU will stay within 1 touchdown of Air Force at Air Force. SDSU is a horrible team this year and will lose by three touchdowns. Utah and TCU both represent the conference well today with good wins.

We are all asking, "what are they going to do about it? and what is this team made of." IMO, they are made of mush. Mental midgets is what BYU is. No character. Last weeks loss was bad because we didn't even show up and then in the game we just rolled over and gave up just like TCU last year. That shows no character from Bronco to all the players. This D is done for the year. Did you know tha point totals that UNLV and CSU put on us last year were their highest point totals of any game they played last year? Well they were. So after a big loss last year, what did our D do, well they did nothing the rest of the season and this season will be the same. I have zero faith in our D, coaches and Max Hall. I lost all respect for Jan J. when he blamed the turf for his poor performance last week. What a joker!

I see Max getting sat down and Riley rallying the Cougs to a close win and starting a whole new era.

Okay, seriously, I see a lot of Harvey, a lot of high percentage passes with two succesful bombs to McKay.

I see the defense not as good as the OU game and not as bad as the FSU game (how's that for risk-taking?)

But that's my own little world, and I am happy in it.

It mattereth not for a win is a win. Go COUGARS and do you job. Pummel the Rams with you best defense. Make sure Max that you keep the turnovers in check. What a game you will play!!!! Go BYU !!!! Beat those Rams of CSU!!!!!
Good Article Dick | 11:07 a.m. Sept. 26, 2009
I like to see that probably the biggest BYU fan of all the Utah sport's writers also lives in reality. Dick is clear that BYU flout out stunk last week and he predicted TCU as conference champ. Both right on point.

I really think you missed the UTAH game. UTAH is not very good this year. I root for UTAH when they play anybody other than BYU, but the UTES will do well to go bowling this year.

OREGON 25 CAL (RANKED #6) 3. (HALFTIME)

Maybe OREGON excised a (LA)BOIL when they lost at BOISE.

BYU will cruise today (with only UTAH and/or TCU offering any competition as the season moves forward).

But maybe, just maybe, the UTES might not be that bad after all (comparative scores notwithstanding).
Nice call, Dick | 12:44 a.m. Sept. 27, 2009
Almost hit the BYU score on the number.

You said earlier this year EITHER Fla. St. or TCU would win in Provo. So you'll still be right if you go with BYU in its homecoming game.

If TCU does pull it out, they earn BCS. Should be a great game.
