Circuses and anything like them should be banned and eliminated. Just look at what they represent us to be: entertained, no matter what. The animals and the people involved are all being degraded and misused (look at the costume the young woman riding the elephant is wearing if you need proof) To continue giving this type of event such praise and attention erodes human sensitivities. Anytime something goes terribly wrong or seems out of control, what does the press write about it? That it's a CIRCUS.
I for one love the circus, always have. Every time I go I get to just turn into a kid again. Ever since the first time I went to the circus when I was a child it has always been just like the story says: magic, and with family and friends, those you love, it's even more so. Ringling Bros. truly is the greatest show on earth. Maybe Mr. Observing needs to grow down a little to see that.
