You need to get out from under the in foil hat for a while and get some air, Vernon. Fecklessness? You're kidding, right? Where were you when a Bush appointed Brownie as head of FEMA, or Harriet Meyers(sp?) to SCOTUS?
Why do you have such a disparity in your standards when it comes to democrats, but you'll say nothing when a republican appoints any chimp to a government office? Must be that good ol' Utah double standard...
Although there was a constitutional program in the works to remove Mr. Zelaya, he was in fact removed in a military coup. Also, I am no fan of Chavez or Morales, but both were eleceted by democratic majorities.
There is a difference between reading and reading for comprehension. Stick to the point of the letter. It isn't about FEMA, it is about Honduras and foreign policy.
Resign? No. She is actually doing a great job. The change in policy direction is refreshing and will help our standing in the world. I'm guessing that some talk show host has worked you up, Vernon. Policy decisions are a team effort, informed by career diplomats who are expert in these areas. I suspect you are taking partisan shots and lack information on the subject.
I say, let her stay in. It keeps her out of the country, plus, the more she goes out and meets with foreign leaders the more she insults them. She will soil her own name enough to prevent her from ever having a chance at running for President.
I don't see any reason to single out and pick on the lovely and gracious Hillary. Afterall she is no less imept and foolishly naive then the rest of characters in this lame administration. I find it kind of funny to watch the annointed one treat her like the figure head she is. I don't think he takes her seriously for one second. If he wants any serious international deplomacy taken care of, he will just send her husband Bill to take care of the heavy lifting. He is happy to do it, he loves the attention.
Isn't it strange that the constitionality of Zeyala's removal is never mentioned in the media articles about his attempts to return to power. Why does this important information only appear in a letter to the editor?
Vernon O. Cook of Salt Lake City, if Billary Clinton, you know, the one in the pants suit, quits her job, who would Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, Jay Leno, and all the other talk show host's, come up with in jokes about to make fun of?. We would lose our good laugh for the moment. It'll turn back to Klingon Joe Biden and Obamanation. That would not be fair to us conservative's. We like to see her squirm and suffer. Plus lie. After all, that's what she does best. Right?.
So you don't deny the criticisms mentioned in the letter, is that correct? In essence, if I understand you correctly, you excuse Clinton's behavior by pointing out other problems under the previous administration.
Roland Kayser, quick question, do you know what military rank the interim de facto president of Honduras, Roberto Micheletti, has? Or, the military ranks of the members of the Honduras Supreme Court that ordered the arrest of Pres. Zelaya?
Ever heard of a degenerate democracy? Thank God, their military took the guy down. That is why many times in many places the military is the only institution able to stand up to illegality or to provide order to a degenerate mob.
I think the bar on "fecklessness" was set pretty high when we ended up invading a country which had never attacked us, and had neither the means nor intention to do so. Oh, and we spent a trillion dollars or so as well. On second thought, maybe "feckless" is giving them too much credit.
If you want Hillary to resign over "fecklessness", then the Bush and Cheney should have been arrested for high crimes. After all, over 4000 soldiers died over a lie, seven attorney generals were fired for no good reason, and other crimes they committed. Hillary is doing a great job over at State. In fact, she's doing a better job than the current president.
GO HILLARY!!!
I just returned from Honduras. Hillary Clinton should not only be fired she should be made to live in Cuba. She has done nothing good and she is attempting to start a civil war in Honduras. She and Obama have allied themselves with Chavez.
