They must have sanitized this rehash for the PG rating to also try and appeal to the tween crowd. I Remember the original Fame was R rated and only slightly better.
It was good it was hard to fallow i don't even know the main characters name over all pretty good but probly should be rated PG-13
I too thought it should have been rated PG-13. I actually walked out with my young daughter halfway through. Wouldn't have bothered me much, but I had her with me and it was NOT appropriate for children. I also thought it was boring, hard to follow, and by the time I left, the story still hadn't grabbed me. And I am pretty easy to please, have never walked out of a movie before and rarely dislike a movie. I was disappointed.
