Oh my goodness -- this is such an inspirational story! Sure, most missionaries would say that they've saved the spiritual life of others, but Todd can truly save that he's saved the physical life of another. Not many can say that! What an amazing person!
Wow. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
You served an incredibly important service--to yourself, this little girl and her family. I hope if I am ever in a serious predicament I have guardian angel strangers like you nearby.
This is such a touching true story that brought tears to my eyes. There is always a reason we just don't always know why. Now he knows. Bless all who stopped to help.
Todd God Bless you! You have saved a child of God.
Thanks! From a Grandpa.
God bless you, Todd Kanno.
Wow...of course you were needed for this particular "Mission" Your mom looks so proud of you in the picture...as she should be. For one so young, you acted in such a mature and responsible manner. I agree...I can only hope and pray that if any of my family members ever need a guardian angel like you...one will be "prepared and willing to serve"!I don't know about the "Returning" part, but, what honor!!
Wow, this made me cry reading this story. I am so glad that this young man acted as he did - and I do believe that God is involved in the details...
You are awesome- sure it would be great to serve a mission, but the Lord wanted you at home- maybe you can go later on, either way- you can have an impact wherever you are!
I know Todd and he is one of the best young men you will ever meet. Nice going, man.
The second picture is priceless. The look on Peggy Kanno's face as she looks at her son says volumes. Well done Todd....well done!
We never know what our mission is until the Lord uses us where we are needed most -- that 3 year old and her family will always be grateful.
I do not ever write comments. But due to a family experience in August I knew I must respond.
There are no coincidences in our lives once we give our lives to the Lord. You were supposed to be there. How many teens are prepared to know CPR and have the presence of mind taught by your dad to handle an emergency? The Lord uses us as His hands when it is His will to get something done. You will never be the same after this experience. There is no more humbling experience than to know you were an instrument to help someone else's life.
God in their comments, but maybe Todd is just a great kid who responded perfectly to a nasty situation. If God was to be involved in this woman's family, where was He five minutes earlier, when, or just before, the tire blew? Way to go Todd - you're awesome.
There are no coincidents in this world. The Lord guides us and we are tools in His hands to do His work. May He bless you with the health and strength you need to continue to serve Him and His children on the earth in whatever call you are given. Thank you, my friend and brother. I love you for your willingness to serve our Father in heaven and his beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
The fact that you took the time to come back to the scene says so much. A few seconds made all the difference. Though you may not be serving a mission at this time, by following your instincts as you did in this instance, you will have many more opportunities for true service.
This story of your heroism truly touched me. You were meant to be there, Todd. That song "How To Save a Life" will from now on make me think of this story.
Todd a true latter day saint
Todd - you are an amazing young man. You - being prepared for something that you thought never would happen and being there at the right time says volumes of how you were meant to be in service of this fellow being. Well done!
I know that you can still serve Heavenly Father even from where you are. He needs you and knows you well enough. I know he is in control of all things. Faith precedes the miracle and he is awaiting for you to trust him a little more. Hang in there and serve him with such desire in areas such as your ward and stake levels and even school. God bless you with your endeavours!!!D&C 4..the field is white already to harvest..faith, patience, godliness...etc"
