Although this may be interpreted by some as additional partisan stubbornness, I could not disagree more! It is refreshing to see an accurate, well-founded criticism of the senate health care reform bill. While many other critiques can be offered, I'm glad to see that at least this one isn't based entirely in political tactics of fear-mongering.
As a student preparing to enter the medical field, I agree that health care reform is necessary; yet any reform that isn't done well now will only require MORE reform in the future, resulting in ADDED long-term expenses. I truly wish that there will be a non-partisan bill passed - one that includes the key requirements of each party, not one in which the empowered party subjugates in the name of "bipartisanship".

No problem. We can always get our 'medical stuff' from China.

How refreshing to read your comments relative to the health care debate. I only wish there was an avenue in Congress where the pragmatic elements of health care reform could proceed (tort reform, ability for consumers to cross state lines to purchase health care, health savings accounts, etc.). Then those who are so inclined could carry on their childish partisan attacks about the more controversial elements of health care reform. Mark, you give me hope for the future of the medical field
