Beverley Sorenson is an inspiration. She continues to contribute to the community and shares her financial successes. Is there a way that people can donate to her organization or get involved as volunteers?
Beverley Sorenson is to be commended for this much needed effort to raise awareness for the arts. Man does not live by bread alone - we must have our souls fed. Thank you, Beverley.
Like your husband,Jim Sorenson, you are making a real difference where it really matters: children, for they are our future. Thank you, Beverley.
God Bless and Keep You.
God Bless Beverley Sorenson for her work in the arts. Having been raised in an incredibly art/music-filled environment I can notice to results in has in my current profession today.
Thanks for all your good work, Beverley. The arts enhance all other learning in schools. They give students something constructive to do with their energy that is all their own. I very well remember my first art lessons in first grade, and that was 62 years ago.
Art? Art? Our kids don't need no stinkin' art!
WOW!!! Deseret News ACTUALLY SHOWED A SCHOOL THAT ISN'T IN THE CANYONS SCHOOL DISTRICT!!!
I was starting to think that all of the other school districts were being taken over by the whiney East side of the South end of the Valley cause the Deseret News has seemed to be doing a "special" showing of the district every week since school started!
Good to know that good (or dare we say better) things happen in OTHER school districts in UT. Whew!
Thank goodness for people like Mrs. Sorenson. Not only do the arts bring beauty into the world, they also are very therapeutic. They awaken our senses and provide balance to our lives. They enrich our souls.
Our kids benefit from Ms. Sorensen's Art Works for Kids - and WE LOVE IT!!! Please tell your legislator to renew funding to this wonderful program! This all goes away at the end of this school year unless the legislature keeps its promise to fund it.
"Music makes you smarter" and art does, too. Besides, if children are busy with art they won't be getting into trouble at the same time.
Kudos Beverly!
Art teaches all students to love learning. How dare our Legislature break this promise to such a gracious woman at the risk of our future society - and what this state considers their best resource - CHILDREN.
Art is good, It expresses ones deepest feelings and expressions. Also the artist has a tendency to look deep into the the souls of others while painting. We need artists with all their inner beauty and sight to share it with the rest of the world.
Utah could gain national recognition for a ground-breaking art program, if the short sighted legislators don't cut it off at the knees. Kudos to Beverly Sorensen for supporting the arts.
