Well rationing has already begun. The federal government has set up restrictions on who gets the H1N1 flu vaccine and the community over 65 are left on their own to suffer. They will get their way one way or another.

Are we honestly still worried about the swine flu? I know ONE person who got it, and she's fine now. TEN people hospitalized the whole state over is NOT a "pandemic."

With limited vaccine it makes sense to allocate it to those that are most at risk. Seniors and most middle agers have already been exposed to a variation of H1N1 and should have some immunity. Those most at risk are children, pregnant women, and those with immune problems which is why they are 1st in line for vaccine. It is based on science... not politics.

Just because people aren't dying doesn't mean that it isn't a problem. Schools are being hit hard in the classroom, sports and other activities. A friend coaches football and a significant percentage of his team has swine flu this week and teachers are having a hard time with a large number of absent students.

I hope our traveling government employees get vacinated first so that they will not spread the germs from other areas to us.

My child came home from school the other day saying that they learned to cough and sneeze into their elbow with Germy Wormie, and I was totally taken aback. I always covered with my hands. But I went to the website and now I get it, hands touch, elbows don't!! Kids can touch 300 surfaces in 1/2 hour and they hate to wash their hands. This is a simple thing that can make a huge difference. Also, there is a fun DVD the kids love, and it teaches them other necessary hygiene habits as well.

I know 2 people who got it. No one around them ended up getting it. And they are 100% fine now. They didn't go to the hospital, they didn't die. They are FINE. I think the government is trying to raise a panic over this. Other nations have been laughing at the US because we've been "blowing this waaaaay out of proportion". I'm not afraid.
