"Important things from Jewish temples, parallel with LDS Temples." In 70AD the Jersualem Temple was destroyed, one of the main functions of the Priesthood was animal sacrifice(Leviticus 1:1-17)"because without it there is no remission for sins. A phrophecy from Joseph Smith," These sacrifices,as well as every ordinance belonging to the Prieshood, will, when the Temple of the Lord shall be built, and the sons of LEVI be purifed,be fully restored and attended to in all their powers, ramilfications and blessings...sacrifices will be continued." (HoC Vol 4, p 211-212)

I applaud Brother Paredes for working to build understanding. Fortunantly the ZOA has more will power and back bone than the California Musical THeatre, otherwise Brother Paredes would have been thrown out on the street as Scott Eckern was. Boycotts to get specific people fired are very disturbing.
Jews are liberal | 4:40 p.m. Sept. 23, 2009
Don't mean to rain on your parade but Jews played large role in putting Bill Clinton and Barack Obama into office----see recent article in Wall Street Journal entitled---"Why Jews are liberal." Good luck on connecting that gap.

Please no more anti-mormon | 9:16 p.m. Sept. 23, 2009
I am just waiting for the next anti-mormon comment here trying to tear down the church.

I loved Pres. Hunter (then Elder Hunter) around the late 1970's when the Jerusalem center was under construction for clarifying church's policy that we are neutral as to the war with the Palestinians, and I've always heard most students at the Byu Jerusalem center come away more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause than before--------Jews do great things but should not be put on pedestal. USA gives Israel billions each year which is controversial in my view----sorry to bring politics into a religion article but when speaking of Middle Eastern culture it is difficult not to.
