It's almost hilarious that Sen. Valentine plans a run for Governor. What's not reported here is that Valentine raised $187,000 of his $189,000 when he was President of the Utah State Senate. When was Valentine the Senate President? Exactly. A looooong time ago in a land, far-far-away.

Herbert won't have any problem with Valentine. Afterall, how many 60-year olds from Orem can one election take?

From what I understand, Governor's have been hosting these galas for a long time. It should come as no surprise that our current governor is doing the same. Particularly because he has to run an election in 2010 and again in 2012 if he wins. I really think the new law that's forcing Herbert to run a special election 2 years early is a waste of time and resources. We voted for BOTH Huntsman and Herbert. They were both on the ticket. He should just finish Huntsman's term and concentrate on being governor and not on raising millions of dollars in two seperate elections.
