What a great game! Down to the wire and the Braves came through again. Classic Larry Wall Defense wins the game. congrats men!
This was amazing! What a nailbiter! Props to the o-line! Burningham stepped up today and took on that Thompson kid well!
A head high school football coach that took the blame for his teams performance and didn't see himself and his staff as flawless and blame it on the kids?
Coach Fernandes, I hope the football staff at your H.S. Alma Mater take note and begin to follow your lead.
Good job Braves!!
Nice game to WX too.
Great game by both teams. A real tough loss for the Cats. Coach Wall is all class as usual. While it has been a while since the Cats pulled one out it is nice to see them competitive. Great job by Coach Fernandez leading the program! Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
Last nights game against Bountiful was fun to watch!! Woods Cross out played the Bountiful Braves on every level but score. The better defensive was Woods Cross's but you also have to score points to win. Congrats to all of the Woods Cross PLAYERS for a great game!!! Congrats to Bountiful for winning the game. Hopefully we get another chance in the playoffs.
P.S. No one outplay the "Thompson kid" you wish!!
Kudos to Woods Cross for a hard fought game. You guys played an almost flawless game. We will take this victory as a lesson and wish you well going forward.
In the words of Billy MadisonL:
"Bountiful Football Rules!"
Great game! Stay the course BRAVES. On with the mission. We beleive.
Much respect to the Wildcats...we wish you only the best in the remainder of your season. You do Region 6 proud. Tanner Johnsen, you are the man.
Way to play last night Wildcats. The Braves narrowly escaped your great defense. You played like a team determined to head to the championships this year. I think you'll see Bountiful again in the playoffs and we will then see who is really the better team this year. Bountiful definately did not play as the coach poll rankings "suggested"! Number one - silly! Again, congrats on a great played game.
How can you say that WX outplayed them in every level? I was at that game, and yes WX was good, but the brave's defense forced turnovers and was all over them like a bad dream. Your best play call of the night was to receive the ball with a 40mph wind at your backs(advantage of field position). Yes you played well, yes you are good enough to run the table the rest of the way, but don't say you outplayed us when you got lucky at the end of the game.
Good job, Braves. Now go clean up your game a little, avoid stupid penalties and win the region title. I was impressed with WX-first time in 20 years.
Whatever makes you feel better... a victory is a victory. Better luck in the next two decades WX
The difference between Bountiful and Woods Cross is that the wildcats are content with ALMOST winning while the Braves want ONLY to win. The cats will never compete with the big boys until they change their mind set.
Wx only lost by two! As a wildcat fan what more can you ask for?? Heck of a season cats! heck of a season... Don't get down on yourselves your band is still top notch. Maybe you should put some of them on your football team?
Best match up the two teams have had in a long time. I was highly impressed by both teams, but overall grateful that the braves pulled out a win. Great job to both teams and I hope we match up again in the playoffs.
WX very respectable team. Good luck on the rest of the season.
GO BRAVES!
WX outplayed, Outclassed, as always. Bountiful fans were crying at halftime. Bountiful fans need to get a life.
And at the end of the game, the wildcats were crying. I don't think tears due to a hard fought loss should be mocked. Tell the WX players, who fought with all they had throughout the game, that tears are not apropriate and means one needs to get a life, only because there were some tears.
Go ahead, tell the players, but I want to be there to watch.
I don't think it's the teams/schools that needs to get a life as they acted appropriately. I guess in your world it's not ok to cry.
Given that, consider the fact that maybe, just maybe, you need to grow-up and try to find a life for yourself where you fit in. As you seek out this new place, don't forget, no tears are allowed.
Bountiful was the heavily favored team. it tells a lot about WX that they hung in the game. Great game Parson
Great Job Woods Cross, what a great game. Too bad there had to be a winner and a loser however it showed WX that they can play with anybody this year, especially the #1 ranked team in 4A. Kudos to the line..Thompson, Peterson, Snyder, Lynn and O Toole espcially the boys playing both ways, Thompson and Snyder.
Great Job WX. What a great game. Too bad there had to be a winner and loser. Kudos to that stud line, Thompson, Lynn, Peterson, O Toole and Snyder especially the boys playing both ways, Thompson and Snyder. The boys left everything they had on the field against a very good Brave team and showed that this year, they can play with anybody.
