Comments about ‘Utah Ute football: Plan is to shut fans up with outstanding play’

I'm not sure how our 6-0 record for games played on Sept. 19th is at all relevant, encouraging, or helpful, but GO UTES anyway!

The Ducks have nothin' on the yutz when it comes to hostility. They won't find any surprises when they enter foreign territory. No typical BYU nice-nice Hi, have a good day, or Thank You for not smokin', fans. I hope the yutz whip the Quackers. Course knowing the average yutz fan, a win means UU deserves to be given an invite to the national championship, when their plane lands.

I've faced hostile fans in the bubble. All teams have their friendly fans and their not so friendly fans.

As far as a NC invite, zoobies already claimed an invite with their first win of the season before their plane departed from Dallas.

Please show me a typical byu "nice-nice Hi, have a good day" fan. I've yet to run into one.

My guess is that you arrived home from your menial job at almost 1:00am; a job that you had to take to support your 20 year old wife and 4 kids. You saw this article on the DN and decided that you just had to show how intelligent you are so you spew that it in your post. Am I right? Do you have any idea what a yutz is??

It's times like these that make me wish I was a BYU fan so I revel in the same world in which you live.

Wow, on ESPN, 83% of the vote is for Utah. I personally think all those people will lose their streaks, but Utah has done surprising things before.

I have not heard a sinlge Ute fan claim they should be in the NC this year. The Ute fans are pretty content with where they are at so far. BYU fans on the other hand, have continued to proclaim national eliteness ever since their opening week, 1 point victory over OU. So, I believe sir, you have it wrong. We call that transference, and I'm sure it's not your first time.

You're speaking about a minority of Utah fans.

Two examples:

My son and I sat in the middle of the Crimson Club for the Beck to Harline game. Although we did have one 20-something Utah who couldn't resist making snide comments about BYU the entire game, most of the Utah fans around us were polite and courteous and even congratulated us after the game.

Last year, my family sat about 15 rows from the top of the stadium in away from the main group of BYU fans, but in a sizeable group of BYU fans. One, obviously drunk Utah fan (or should I say, BYU hater) spent almost the entire game with back to the field screaming obscenities at the BYU fans 10 rows above him. He even tried to physically attack an older BYU fan who was walking past him. This Utah fan wasn't the only one acting like that, just the most obvious. The Utah fans sitting directly in front of us were apologized for his behavior after the game.

I've been to more than a dozen BYU/Utah games at Utah and have seen plenty of both types of Utah fans.

The Utes were expected to win their first two games which they did but not very convincingly. This will be their first real test and I don't think they will pull this off. The Utes defense will keep this game close but look for the Ducks to pull it off. Good luck to Utes anyways keep the hope alive.

I think Bobkins confused the U with BYU... The Cougs were the team that thought they were instantly headed to the national championship after beating Oklahoma. Keep taking it slow and easy, Utes. It's worked out before and it can work out again!

I totally enjoy reading all the blogs here. But I don't understand the habit of mispellin names. yutz? It all seems so childish to me. And why cut into any team for no reason? I assume your commet about the plane landing is directed as an insult.

SJ Bobkins, if you are a fan of my Cougars you do us no favor. The Y has a great sports program that stands on its' own. But so many of our fans ruin it with diatribe that only reflects poorly. I wince when I see this kind of thing and wish it would stop. That goes for any childish and boorish lambasting that I see against any team in these stories. Bring all this kind of stuff to a dignified end.

Say things constructive or be silent. The cuts are an embarrassment to all of us. PLEASE STOP

Unlike the U of U, the whole town can fit into Autzen stadium. What does that mean, anyway...what's an Autzen?

What on earth was your last entry about SJ Bobkins? What good did that do? Are you really that unhappy with life in general? 20 year old wife and 4 kids? I feel sorry for you. What a loser. Say something worth while or just dry up and be gone. What if anything at all do your entries have of benefit to anyone? Crude rude and unrefined. I am too much of a sports fan to let your childish entries go unchallenged. Join the adult world and say something of value or just quit all together.
