Dick Harmon: Cougars, Utes aim to maintain MWC momentum

Right now BYU FAN ENERGY is exploding and will be grateful to have a stadium to let it out in. Cougars have been doing a great job representing the school. I think we'll have enough energy and 'execution' on the field to make this competative game a win.

Dick, mark my word, the out of Utah Cty fan has so much pent up anger after waiting 3 years to see BYU play, before being thrown a scrap in having the right to "pay" extra to see the mushroom televise some games on DirectV and now this blackout of a huge national interest game BYU and FSU, that the cry isn't, "call DirecTV and hassle them, but get us the HEL_ out of this popcorn conference and back to ESPN. This has been such a farce and the MWC presidents owe real fans a well earned apology for their failed attempt to create the mushroom. You're going to see a ground swell of support for recreating the MWC experiement Part #2. By putting Boise St, BYU, Utah, TCU, CSU, Fresno, together as a new conference minus the deadwood that gives the BCS boys an excuse for exclusion, that is the weakness and poor support at the other schools (Wyoming, San Diego State, UNLV, New Mexico, USU, San Jose, IDAHO, NEW MEXICO STATE. there would be no possible way the BCS could justify such a group of teams with their past records or risk greater public condemnation.

When are people going to realize that ESPN doesn't want us? They threw us scraps and messed with our schedule. Look at Boise State's schedule. Not to mention the mtn. is a pure pleasure for almost every other team in the league. Most of the WAC teams don't have their games even covered.

I personally love the fact that every game other then USU is on Saturday...when college football is supposed to be played.

SJBobkins seems to me to be the fairly delusional BYU hyperfan. It will shock him to realize that nearly the entire country doesn't give a large rodents' hindquarters that BYU or the MWC even exist. Take your meds, SJ, and enjoy the football season. It IS only a game.

It's unlikely, today, that teams ahead of BYU in the poll will fall.

Word out of Provo is that the entire byu team will be watching the Mighty Utes tear apart Oregon. Its obvious they want to see a good Top 10 team play and are worried about facing the Mighty Utes later this year. Another sign that little brother is desperate to keep up with the Mighty Utes.

Like I said last night Dick I agree with all your predictions except for the Utah and Wyo games as I think they will both lose.

Utah and BYU can bring great glory to the MWC! Forget about Wyoming, SDSU, New Mexico, CSU, Air Force and UNLV. We, er I mean the MWC is great! Forget that UCLA beat SDSU, Oregon State beat UNLV and now Oregon beat Utah, that is already forgotten. I'll never mention it again! GO MWC!!!! We, er I mean you are great!

BYU underestimated FSU and got caught up in this whole MWC is better than the ACC and Big East. WGAS.It is about coming out and playing and competing. Take advantage of hte chances when you get them. As to Harmon's contention of it being "speed versus discipline" he clearly hasn't viewed these Noles lately. Very disciplined. Moreso than the Cougars last night.
