I love being under the radar. I don't like all the hype. It makes the wins that much more enjoyable. Can't wait for the game tomorrow. Even with a loss I will still be a HUGE Utes fan through and through.
How good are the utes? It should be "how bad are the utes" or does that article come on Sunday?
That article was printed after 10-2 BYU was slapped silly by a 7-5 Arizona. If we lose it won't be as humilating.
McW Ute,
I wish BYU could be under the radar instead of way to far "over" the radar. I actually honestly would rather have our teams rankings be switched at this point in the season (not that I think they should) I hope your Utes beat the Ducks tomorrow. Good Luck to them until they meet the Cougars in November.
Dear BYU Fan,
Your kittens are way under the radar everywhere except in the hearts and minds of BYU fans.
The Utes do this practically every year ... start slow and end on a high note.
Each year's team is different ... new players, new positions, et cetera. It takes awhile for players to get in the groove in Whittingham's system.
The advantage, that no one seems to talk about, is that Utah is now starting to reload, rather than rebuild. 15 years ago the Utes might have one great season only to be followed by a few lousy ones. Not so anymore, stability and better players are now coming to Utah. Good seasons are expected ... great ones relished.
I disagree; if you're going to be an elite program, you have to learn to deal with the pressure of being an elite program; that means playing the other top teams, never flying under the radar, and always having a target on your backs, both in conference and nationally.
It says alot about where BYU is on the national scale this season, that Florida State, one of the top teams in a BCS conference, coming to Provo seeking respect for their program.
"It says a lot...that Florida State, one of the top teams in a BCS conference..."
LOL, no they aren't. They are a bad team sitting at the bottom of their conference. They haven't been relevant on a national scale in 10+ years. They aren't coming to Provo to redeem themselves, they look down you kitty kats the same way everyone else does.
As has been said, AD NASEUM, finish the season first then you can talk.
I've heard that Coach K has been kept Utah Utes on a strict diet this week...The players are hungry. And they plan to have Peking ducks on the field today.
Enjoy the season people!! Football is a game, a great one to watch. It isn't life or death, good vs. evil it's football. Have fun, enjoy the season. savor the victories, understand the set-backs but have fun. It doesn't really mean squat in the big picture of things...UNTIL NOVEMBER 28TH WHEN THE UTES DESTROY ALL YOUR BCS HOPES AND DREAMS!!! Book now, there are Vegas deals to be had!!!
GO UTES!!!!
