The Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD and one of the functions of the Priests was offering sacrifices(Lev 1:1-17)because without them there is no remission for sins. I wonder if this is what Joseph was saying (HC Vol 4 p 211-212)"These sacrifices,as well as every ordinance belonging to the Priesthood,will, when the Temple of the Lord shall be built,and the sons of Levi be purified,be fully restored and attended to in all their powers,ramifications and blessings.
