I hat the flu I think it is terable.
Get well Uintah, the Dons are ready for ya. I hope that the school and community can get over this quickly.
Why re-schedule this game over our fall break? Is Uintah that afraid of playing Spanish Fork that they have to wait until our kids are on vacation? Are they hoping they'll be gone and miss the game? Why was it okay for volleyball and golf to go to Uintah this week? Why were they able to have practice all week, including last night? Who's great idea was it to put Uintah in our region anyway? If they don't want to play us, it should just be a forfeit for them. What a joke.
Thank you Unitah High School for being a leader in placing children and people before sports! Your awesome and I admire you. I don't see many schools having the courage. Good luck with the rest of your season!
RE:Good try Uintah
Are you kidding me? Read the article and you will see the illness escalated during the week. I appreciate the school for being concerned about my children. Uintah didn't choose those dates all by themselves. Let's hope this doesn't spread to your school. Stay healthy so we can play you soon.
The game IS NOT re scheduled for over your Fall Break! All of Utah is on Fall Break at the same time for UEA which is on October 1st and 2nd! Nice Try Good Try Unitah! Your the Joke! Check your facts before spouting off!
Yes, Uintah could be rescheduling the game during "SF's fall break" hoping that the starting QB is at Disneyland or they could be scheduling it at that time because that is an OPEN date for both teams.
Check your facts, our spring break is Oct 15 and 16.
sorry, fall break
Yes, it is an open date for SF because we are on fall break. My understanding is that Uintah had a non-region game scheduled that week. I agree, it IS the only time for re-scheduling the game, I just don't think we should have to re-arrange our lives because of this, it's not going to affect region standings anyway.
It is nice to know that the Nebo District does not support the teacher's union by having Fall Break over the UEA convention so that they can be in attendance.Yes, the convention is on October 1st and 2nd.
Spanish Fork get over yourselves. Uintah has more to worry about than you guys. There are 5 other teams in region that they will play. What makes you think they want to reschedule you and not us. Get over yourselves.
Waa waa! It is our Fall break as well. The football team wanted to play today. It is hard to prepare for something all week long just to have it put off until later. It was not the decision of the players or coaches but of the administration.
We aren't hoping that any of your players miss the game, we want to play you when you're at your best.
I don't know about the volleyball or golf teams but we had 28 players at practice yesterday and that counts everyone from Sophomores on up, and even at that we were ready to play today. I think that it is you who wants to play a team when they are down. If we were to play today (which we wanted) we would be playing without our starting QB, tailback, TE, OT and one receiver, and that is just on offense.
The cheerleaders have not been practicing all week. If you want to come and risk being infected by the swine flu (which is rampant out here). There is less chance of spreading the flu in golf than in football you crybaby.
Get real people. I don't think any of these boys are "afraid of playing Spanish Fork" or they would not be on a football team!! Do you want to spread the flu? I don't have a child who plays on either of these teams but, I would not want my child to play and be at risk of getting the flu and/or spreading it around becasue of a football game.
As to why are we in your region anyway, we were originally scheduled to be in a 3-A region but qualify for 4-A playoffs by where we finished in the 3-A region. It was the 4-A schools that decided that wouldn't be fair and pushed for us to be placed in a 4-A region.
I truley feel sorry for you that you have to travel all the way to Vernal once every other year. I know that you understand that we have to make that trip 5 times as often as you do. But of course it takes 3 hours to get from there to here but it only takes 30 minutes for us to get there, right?
We had to cancel a non-region game in order to re-schedule our game with SF, I understand that SF won't have to miss anything, except maybe a day off, and they would have practiced that day anyway.
Go ahead, and feel sorry for yourself, keep crying, it seems to be what you do best.
So who died and made you God? Please tell me what the exact order of the region standings will be. Then I won't have to keep checking the high school scores each week to keep up. And, since you have already determined the finishing order, why play the games at all, it would just be a pain for you to have to risk injury if it has no affect on the region standings.
Last I checked, all teams in the region were 0-0 in rregion standings.
Spanish fork will rock your world, you guys have no idea what is coming for you. we'll have the ambulance on call
No, all of Utah is not on fall break for UEA. Many of the rural districts don't get a UEA break, because their teachers don't attend the UEA conference. It is left up to each district to decide when they hold fall break. My district, for example, has fall break on Monday, Oct. 19th. So, good try, but you are also not correct in your comments.
If your complaining about how you have to drive 3 hours so much than why do you live in Vernal? Its a nice place just to far away from anything
