Wonderful story.
Thank you for sharing your story, and for your hard work.
Thank you too, for showing your true Eagle spirit: serving others when you have your own hurt.
I am sure your Mom is very proud of you.
Great work Logan. You and your fellow Scouts are the type of young men of character that are so desperately needed. Good luck as you complete your project and Eagle.
"Logan's mother, Melanie Krebs, died of alcoholism 18 months ago.
Now, Logan is giving back by building an outdoor patio..."
Why does the fact that Logan's mother dying of alcoholism mean that Logan should give back???????????
Why can't he just GIVE, or SERVE, or SHARE his time and talents, or HELP???
WHY MUST JOURNALISTS ALWAYS USE THE INAPPROPRIATE PHRASE "giving back" IN 99.9% OF STORIES???? There is almost never occasions to give "back"--these people are just giving. period.
Now--after that rant---Way to go Logan! We admire your sacrifice and service and wish you the best.
Krebs, you are an inspiration, just as every other young man who earns his Eagle Award. Addiction, of any kind, permeates our society to day and we pay a very hefty price tag for these addictions. Your work will help to alleviate those scourges in individual lives which will go a long way to heal our society.
Logan, we are so proud of you! What an amazing project, and what a difference you are making in the lives of those around you! We know your mom is looking in in you, now and forever with love and pride, just as the rest of us do! Love, Aunt Mary
good project. it's good for scouts to plan, pursue, and then elicit the help of others to complete a good thing. none of that is easy. i commend you for the effort and appreciate the other's contributions.
I work at the facility and we are very grateful for what Logan is doing for the clients. They get great satisfaction from being able to help him build something for the facility they are staying in.
