Beckerman's stability in the midfield is desperately needed, that will allow AW to be creative and offensive. Hopefully Houston are a little gassed from their Wednesday game. I think the speed factor is RSL's best option to win the game, even if that means JK waits until halftime to insert a Findley/Movsisyan duo. And hopefully a last minute lapse won't cost us the win...Here's hoping that another team from Utah has a great Saturday night in Texas....

Then, during the Third Reconciliation of the Last of the Meketrex Supplicants, they chose a new form for RSL, that of a giant Sloar! Many Dynamos knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of a Sloar that day, I can tell you!

nerves

Anybody know if Grabavoy is also available? It is nice having him available as a sub. I hope they start Yura (or Campos)/Espindola up front and then bring findley on in the second half. That combo kills tired teams. Houston just flew back in from Mexico after playing a hard game against Pachuca hopefully we can take advantage.
I am all for getting Moralles in, but Andy is the hot player right now. Hopefully they find a way to keep him on the field. I'm guessing that with Mathis out Andy will be playing.

Grabavoy is back. He served his one game suspension. I would like to see Findley come on in the 2nd half as well. He kills Ds with some tired legs.

i just hope we make the playoffs.. i like what williams is doin for us in the midfield, seems like he is a lot more offensive than beckerman and morales. please just win rsl

Andy WAS the hot player....up until the Chicago game last week. He was pretty lame in that one. When Morales came in as a sub, that's when the game changed in RSL's favor. Morales proved decisively that he brings a more positive effect to the match than Williams. So Morales, welcome back....Andy welcome back to the bench.

Here is what I would do:

Espy Compost ReK
Javi Andy
Beckerman
Wingert Borch Olave Russel
Rimando

Will on for Andy or Javi at 45-60

Findley and Sissy on for Compost and ReK between 60-70. Possible compost or ReK stay in and the other of Andy/Javi is subed.

That would be my plan. The reason: Houston is tired. Let Compost batter them while espy runs them ragged and ReK serves balls in from the right.

Javi and Andy could do a nice job possessing the midfield, and we likely only need 1 dmid (beckerman) to start BC our back 4 can handle the task.

Bringing in Will will allow him to do what he does best and destroy their midfield for the second half when he is full of energy and they are sapped.

I think the double Sissy/Findley sub in the mid second half will unhinge the Dynamo defense and they will not be able to keep up.

Houston is rip for a loss and they are not playing well, have a good feeling about Saturday with our healthier roster-I love Beckerman and his game

Yea that perfect 50 yard ball that Andy Williams played over the top to Olave showed he wasn't very good. Sure it tied the game at 1-1 and RSL always pulled off a win, but I'm sure it was only because Morales came in. Maybe Javi should get credit for the assist too! Give me a break!

STEVE-O

I meant "almost" pulled off a win. Not "always".

Agree

Steve-0 I agree 100% about Andy being awesome. The team has not lost with him as a starter this year. Morales has been timid and a non factor most of this year. I like him but he has not been as good as he was last year. I hope Andy is in the middle and Morales is in the wing.

Rob

Javi is good when nobody is paying attention to him. After a good showing in the playoffs and an all star appearance javi just has not performed. I personally think it's because teams are doing a better job of marking him tightly. He did get a little bit of space in the chicago game because nobody was worried about some hurt limping second half sub. I hope I'm wrong!!

Dobro

It is absolutely because teams are marking him tightly. Essentially they are willing to have 1 and at times 2 men draped on him for the entire game, forcing our other mids to beat them with the extra space. Sometimes we have, sometimes we have not.
