LDS people need to have a lot better understanding of freemasonry and its abundant symbols than they do, in order to better understand the origins of their own religion and temple ordinances.
Very well written | 3:58 p.m. Sept. 16, 2009
I would just like to say that this story is beautifully written. I especially like the first paragraph. The comparison to Scooby is a great comparison. Someone very intelligent must have come up with that line and deserves a good, well-paying job. Great article!
Mormons in the book? | 4:01 p.m. Sept. 16, 2009
So can anyone who has read the book say if it talks about Mormons, Joseph Smith or Brigham Young? When I was at BYU a couple years ago there was a Daily Universe article about his new book and that it was going to talk about Mormons and it caused a great stir. I am just curious, does the book talk about any of that?

I went on a tour with my wife of a Masonic Temple and I found it very interesting. Also, the tour guide answered every question I or anyone else had.

Did you read the article? | 4:27 p.m. Sept. 16, 2009
The article clearly states that Mormonism is mentioned only twice in the book.
Scooby Doo? | 4:40 p.m. Sept. 16, 2009
What relationship does Scooby have with Dan Brown's novels? Given there is some fiction and some non-fiction the author apparently feels like Bown's works are cartoonish. Actually they are highly entertaining and thought provoking.
Scooby Doo is great | 7:59 p.m. Sept. 16, 2009
I totally disagree and I think the Scooby Doo comparison is spot on! Brilliant, just brilliant!

Scooby Doo is also the inspiration for many CSI episodes. I think there's a secret "philosophy of Scooby" class that all mystery writers take somewhere. As for Dan Brown, I read Da Vinci Code and missed the time I wasted reading it. Sorry. There's way better fiction out there that actually means something.

Definitely Scooby Doo-ish. Shallow characters, silly (although exciting) plot, and poor writing style. There's plenty of great modern fiction out there--no need to waste your time with stuff like this.

Dan Brown is an enemy of the Catholic Church and I a sure mormons are greatful for his writings. Pretty sad, if he attacked you church would he be in the DNEWS. Pretty sad.
