That's just AWESOME! I love hearing stories like this, and it makes me feel great as a golfer as well!

Although, along with that European Golf Vacation, he should also go play Pebble Beach! (I've always wanted to play there)

After tithing and taxes there might be enough for the kids colleges if you only take your golf vacations using the interest the remaining prize money earns.

Hey, Uncle Hargett! | 12:31 p.m. Sept. 16, 2009
Congrats! Remember me? I'm your wife's 4th cousin's uncle's grandpa's mailman's barber's adpoted son's nephew. I know we only met one time many years ago (I think) but I miss you so much I'm gonna stop by your place this week.

See ya real soon!

Hargett has the right attitude. I know from personal experience that getting money like that is wonderful, but it's not life changing in any significant way.

Ha ha! That one is priceless! Yes, it's quite possible many freinds and distant relatives not seen for years will now come out of the woodwork and want to get reaquainted. Good luck!

One million dollars "which won't come until the insurance company has crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's."

Oops. You can bet the death panel at the insurance company will be looking at the tape for ANY violation. Did he step .000000001 milimeter over the line. Was there a time limit. Did he really qualify.

Hope it wasn't AIG.

This is GREAT for Hargett and his family, and we need to watch what happens. It IS an insurance company, after all. Maybe they'll rule that he has a pre-existing caddy or something.

Man, I would take that hole-in-one any day over my 3 hole-in-ones.
