How horrible. This is such a pleasant patch of farmland.
Anyone care to place guesses as to what this could be? What if it is a new prison that will replace the prison at the point of the mountain? I know they have been talking for years about moving that prison to free up all the prime real estate at the point of the mountain. Why would there be a need for secrecy unless it was something like a prison being built?
Well prison it just may be, or maybe one of those new FEMA camps that are popping up all over the nation, if so BEWARE, BEWARE, becuase we will all get a good look at it sooner or later.........
Yes I am a paranoid one of those.......
One reason for the secrecy could very easily be that the developer is a paper manufacturer. Unless the technology has changed very recently, paper manufacturing plants draw a huge amount of fresh water from the underground aquifer, release that same huge amount of bleach-containing waste water. And though the air emissions aren't hazardous, anyone who's ever lived near a paper plant can tell you they have a unique smell that, at best, can be described as annoying. I'd want it kept secret from the neighbors too.
I doubt it is a new prison or any government project as teh government can not sign non disclousure agreements.
Also, LaVonna I doubt it is a paper pulp plant. Where would they get the wood for the pulp? from Utah's vast logging industry? It may be a paper processing plant though, there is already one near ogden and it is a very clean industry. They process large paper stock into things like toilet paper and paper towels.
Further I lived near a paper mill in New Hamshire and it does not smell as you indicated LaVonna. Further, any water released fro the plant has to meet strick guidleins from the EPA. OH! You forgot about that?
Yep, it's a FEMA camp. Get ready 80% of Utah, it's going to be called home! Forget Topaz, this place will make that look like paradise. Oh and no ward's or churches allowed, this will be a re-education camp! You'll soon be a godless socialist like us! Mwahahahahaha!
Just ask exopolitical activists whether NASA, Air Force, and others in government are bound by secrecy agreements not to disclose extraterrestrial contacts.
I hate to see this happen to the area. Driving through Orem and Provo makes me wonder if this is really progress.
Once the green space is gone, it's never coming back. Urban blight sets in, and those who can move out, do so.
Is it really progress? Wouldn't it be wise to locate it close to the work force, instead of building a company town?
