I Hope Mr. Boozer and Mr Kirilenko are reading these articles.

I bet Mr. Stockton has 10X the wealth than either one of these guy every will ever have if they don't learn Mr. Sloans love for the game!

Cheers

Love this article, because it is absolutely accurate in it's portrayal of two great men.

Further, there is a good chance that both men have set lifetime records that will never be broken. Never.

Sloan's number of wins with the same franchise seems likely to stand as a monument to both Jerry and Larry Miller just about forever.

And, Stockton's lifetime assist record is simply the stuff of near fantasy. Look at the numbers sometime and you'll see what I mean.

So, whether the two really like it or not, they have made marks on professional basketball history that will stand as unique markers decades from now.

Good for them!

Humble? Stockton?! Faced him as a fellow baseball coach and he was too special to shake the other team's hands (twelve year olds). Horribly rude to young boys and girls who asked for an autograph. I get that the guy liked his privacy, but he never realized that it was the kids wearing the number 12 jerseys that paid his ridiculous salary. He was outstanding at being a point guard. Let's not canonize him based on his career success.

Be careful -- I've struggled with social anxiety (SAD) my entire life and it has made certain things really difficult. I was often mistakenly judged as being arrogant, aloof, not caring, etc.; when in reality, I just couldn't overcome the irrational fears, etc that go along with certain social situations and/or interactions.

Stockton may or may not suffer from something similar, but his behavior certainly matches the pattern. At least from my limited knowledge of him.

It's a very difficult and complicated problem that isn't understood or comprehended by the vast majority of those who haven't suffered from something similar. And even my long-time spouse, while being absolutely amazingly supportive, to this day, doesn't understand fully why it was such a debilitating condition.

Luckily, I've finally found a combination therapy/medication that's completely changed my life and allows me to be my 'real' self.
