Benefits of geothermal | 10:07 a.m. Sept. 10, 2009
As Utah's economically-viable coal reserves continue to dwindle -- the Utah Geological Survey has offered estimates it could be well within this century that Utah will have no more accessible coal, we'll need a base load replacement. The real benefit of geothermal is that it is base load power, similar to coal. We need to invest into this technology and use science to advance its use.

Utah is blessed with significant geothermal resources, and with the addition of wind and solar, geothermal will be a significant energy source that can keep energy dollars here at home.
