Here is one Riverton guy saying for the first time (probably only), Go Bingham!
Bingham Mom | 11:10 p.m. Sept. 6, 2009
Thanks Riverton Guy! We'd be cheering for you if you were there! :)
AZ Cougar Fan | 11:28 p.m. Sept. 6, 2009
I have no ties to Utah High School football but want to see these Bingham kids do well versus the Texas elite. I will be in the stadium cheering them on. Admittedly, I am a little nervous to show the gem of talent Utah HS football has been producing for the Cougars and hope not to drew even more attention from bigger conferences to compete with BYU for local recruits.

Go Bingham

ALL the Jordan District school bus drivers are supporting Bingham to DRIVE it HOME !

I'll be at the game cheering on the Miners!
Anonymous | 8:06 a.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Correction, Trinity lost in the semifinals last year to eventual state champs Allen High. Go Miners!
PG?? | 8:22 a.m. Sept. 7, 2009
PG should be the ones in this game for this year.

GO BINGHAM!!!! You guys rock! Congrats on getting to this point. Let's show the world that there isn't only one team dressed in blue that can win in Jerry Jones' house. Good luck!
Now if Trinity QB Goes Down... | 9:02 a.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Bingham will in. Sorry I like Bingham as much as BYU, which is not at all.

As far as Utah football come one lets get serious CA, FL, Texas, Ohio are the big dogs.
Matt | 11:14 a.m. Sept. 7, 2009
This is getting ugly. Bingham has no answer for Trinity's speed.
Mercy Rule | 11:38 a.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Just saw Trinity score again 34-14, didn't see extra point, could be 35-14. Some of those Trinity kids look like they could take on any junior college team and win.
TX FOOTBALL FAN | 11:56 a.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Just trying to find some information on Bingham and ran into this site. As an ex coach Trinity is a little down this year, but I am very impressed with Bingham. This team looks disciplined, and the kids keep playing hard. I have a new respect for Utah football.
PG | 12:04 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
I know the game is geting out of hand, and even though I am PG through and through... I was hoping for a strong showing by Bingham. I can't imagine the adrenaline running through those Utah boys walking into that stadium, well deserved.

Best of luck Bingham, but GO PG!
COACH SAMPSON!!!! | 12:08 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
you need to get PLEASANT GROVE in this game not Bingham. UTah needs to be represented by its BEST team in these national TV games.

That is a joke! PG could have given these guys a game.
KSIMS | 12:19 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
trinity is not near the best in texas this year and still won like that it shows the difference in texas and utah ball
Texas just too quick | 12:22 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Bingham is good, but Trinity is a couple of steps quicker.

Too many blue chippers from TX...not as many from BHS.
RE:PG | 12:25 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
I am a huge PG fan and have been for years, but a one year wonder like we are shouldn't be playing in this game for a couple of reasons. This game was scheduled like a year ago, and has been in the works for like 3 years. I have no doubt that PG is good this year, but Bingham has been good for the last 5+ years. I hope PG and Bingham meet in the finals, (I dont know if it is possible according to brackets, I haven't checked) but we need to give Bingham their props. They have earned it. GO PG, but let Bingham have their day in the sun. Just sayin

"The Miners play today at Cowboys Stadium against Texas high school powerhouse Trinity - the top program in a state where prep football is king."

Their are about 7 other programs in Texas that would beg to differ. Guess it's part of hyping up the game, could be argued but a bit of a stretch.
Alta Alumni | 12:43 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Would love to see Bingham show well here. Any update on the score? Please??
Pleasant Grove | 12:48 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
What has PG done ? Bingham is good year after year. Don't think PG is in the class of Bingham or Alta , dream on
zen | 12:48 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Bingham has an all star team. They are also the only team to do the Haka "REALLY". With out the MOVE IN'S every year they would just be an average football taem. Keep clappen parents because you kid will not play if you live in Bingham's bounders :0
Go Utes | 12:49 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Loved BYU's win, good for Utah and the conference. Hey PG dude-what's your problem? Wish Bingham well would ya. Oh, you're probably a sophomore at PG bored on Labor day.
If Bingham gets beat, PG would have got beaten worse. Go put on your PG cheerleader outfit, have a piece of cake and read your yearbook and cry that it's not PG.
Better yet-come mow my lawn.
PG? | 12:49 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Oh ya PG and their whole huge offensive scheme they got going on would have had a better chance against Trinity. hahaha That's a good one. Bingham deserved to play in this game. They have been one of the top programs in the state for many years and will continue to be with their coaching staff. I thought they did a great job!

"Would love to see Bingham show well here. Any update on the score? Please??"

Trinity 42 - Bingham 21
Result | 12:58 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Bingham got out played. The difference wasn't talent.
Matt | 1:07 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
I disagree, Trinity was a lot faster and their speed to the edge made all the differene in this game. Bingham was just as physcial as Trinity but they ran into a team that was just as physical and faster
Player | 1:16 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Hey is there any other team that plays football in the state of Utah "REALLY" I have seen 10 articles on Bingham. Please cover some other teams for a change, please anybody.
you guys are wrong! | 1:16 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Not the original poster, but it's not who "deserves" to play in it based on previous years results, it's who has the team and talent to play w/ Texas THIS YEAR!

Pleasant Grove has that Bingham doesn't. Soon you will all see.
Anonymous | 1:26 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Just unhyped facts:

Trinity's first game.
They are NOT one of the best in Texas THIS year.
They have TWO returning starters.
But Trinity's home field (does that matter???).
Trinity 42--Bingham 21.
Anonymous | 1:29 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
OK, Bingham has to regroup to play AF on 4 days rest/preparation. But beyond AF looms an Alta team that is still smarting from the pre-season loss to BHS, and teams like Brighton and PG ("Poster Group") that are motivated.
to: PG | 2:00 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
I would have to agree with Utes... poor sophomore that doesnt play... get over here and mow my lawn!!!!
PG fans | 2:35 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
This story, and nothing about this story, involves PG. Yet PG fans are so desperate for attention, that they just can't act decent. You are really turning into a bunch of classless bozos. Go recruit some more Timp kids and clamp it up.
RE PG Fans | 4:46 p.m. Sept. 7, 2009
Get over it will you.... this is the 1st year we have had an open campus, unlike YOU AND ALTA! Kruger played with us all as kids, half of the city he lives in goes to timp, the other half to PG. He is playing now with the team he has always played for and started playing for. Give it a rest already!
ALTAFAN | 7:21 a.m. Sept. 8, 2009
Re RE PG Fans, hate to burst your weak little Utah county bubble but Alta doesn't recruit like PG does. In fact we actually lose a lot of our players to Jordan (like their quarterback just to name one). Bingham good job. I expected better but am not disappointed. Don't let these clowns from other schools bring you down. Until they play top caliber teams they have no reason to open their overhyped, ultimately weak mouths. By the way PG and everyone else, what out of state powerhouses have you played? Didn't think so...
