I'm so glad the child is ok! Please everyone walk around your vehicle before getting into your car. It will avoid many accidents with children.
My neighbors look at me funny when I back into my driveway every night. I don't do it to be cool, but to make sure I don't back over one of their kids that are always free to roam the neighborhood. I love that kids are on a long leash around our house, but with thatfreedom comes the cost of extra attentiveness. Back-up sensors or cameras are cheap online - they aren't very much money, but could save a kid's life. If you're worried about it, do something now or change your routine to make things safer. It could happen to anyone!
thank goodness this one had a happy ending. utah has approx 10% of the deaths in the usa from kids being backed over in a driveway, yet not nearly 10% of the usa population. adults need to be more careful and vigilant when it comes to watching your kids, especially preschoolers.
