Good job Braves!
I think Bountiful might just be the team to beat in 4A. All the hype around Timpview and Mountain Crest has given way for the Braves to go un-noticed until now. I would not be surprised at all to see them holding the State Championship trophey at the end of this season.
Who is the D Coordinator there now, and isn't there another new coach up there this year?
Larry Wall is the D Coordinator. He calls the D. They do have a new O Coordinator thi year.
The defense belongs to Wall - always will. But there is a new offensive coordinator, Terry Rose. He finally has given the Braves a passing book with more than two plays. And the players love him.
all the hype around Timpview??
I think people were pretty realistic that this years team wasn't as strong, BUT, until a 4A team can beat them I would be careful to start calling them out now.
The problem with teams like you guys, you have a season that looks half-promising than you start calling out the champs, putting pressure on your kids who end up crumbling (Sky View anyone??)
why not just keep quiet, fly under the radar and see what happens...
Why didn't they get Coach Rose in there last year to call the offense? The Braves have always had tons of talent and last year it was painful to watch the same run up the middle over and over and over again! I am glad that Coach Wall has someone who actually knows what they are doing on offense this year! Braves defense has always been strong... now maybe this year the offense will be strong too!
Stay focused Braves on improving everyday, everyweek. It still way too early AND a hell of lot of football left to play. Pay the price NOW to be State champions later!!! Go Braves!!!
DONT BE COCKY :)
Bountiful's very lucky to have coach rose calling the offense. He's really opened up the playbook. Don't take it easy either.. we aren't Sky View, and we just don't fold under pressure!
Didn't they pick up Randy johnson to help coach (the former Clearfield coach)? I also heard that another former clearfield coach Hatch might be there too. Are either of them coaching and what?
having played for coach Stringfellow in the past i think he was a great coach. The reason they are winning is because they have played weak teams once they play teams with big guys up front there small o line will fall apart and dont say anything about heart cause this aint rudy here you cant win with small guys up front.
anyone thinking Timpview is better than the braves is CRAZY!!!!
this team would destroy Timpview.
Coach Wall is a winner therefore he attracts winners! Not just boys that work hard but coaches that know how to coach and coach with no hidden agenda! Both Coach Rose and Coach Johnson are great coaches! The boys are responding! Good job Coach Wall!
hey "braves" were you anywhere near the game friday. If you had been you would have been given a program at the gate that show the roster of the other team. All four D Linemen where over 250 and three were 6'4". Sorry you fell short when you played ,but these kids aren't you , now are they!!
I can't believe that Tyler Hayes is not the starting quarterback.
Let's review this. He's the 3rd string QB and very slow to run bountiful's new offensive scheme. There is a 2nd String QB that is leaps and bounds above Hayes.
Bountiful has scored over 100 points in their first three games. When was the last time Bountiful did this. This has been accomplished as a team, lead by the first string QB, Tyler Talbot. Maybe you have confussed which "Tyler" you are taking about.
Stay focused on the here and now (reality). Give Tyler Hayes his due time to continue to develop his talents, and then hopefully he will have his chance. Regardless of how this sounds, I am truly a fan of Tyler Hayes and glad to have him at Bountiful instead of Viewmont.
bountifuls o-line isn't as small as everyone thinks. and calling a lone peak team weak isn't giving them their due credit. in bounitfuls option offense the fast offensive line seems to be working. and it doesnt have anything to do with heart it is the fact that the dts get tired after 3 plays. also people said that bountifuls gaurds last year wouldn't be able to handle latu heimuli and they shut him down for only two tackles. where is he now?
